Actress Niya Renjith is one of the much-loved actors on Malayalam TV. Though she is taking a break from the industry now, the actress is keen on keeping her fans entertained with her vlogs. This time, Niya is winning hearts with one of her videos about her tremendous weight loss journey. The actress has reduced by almost 16 kgs within a couple of months and her transformation is unbelievable. In a video that surfaced on her streaming channel, she shared 10 tips for everyone who wishes to lose weight and here it is.

​Avoid Sugar​


"If you are planning for weight loss, the first thing you should do is cut sugar from your sugar. Sugar means not just sweets or refined sugar, avoid everything that has sugar as an ingredient. If you are able to do it, your weight loss will be easy," she said.

​Get proper sleep​


The actress says that though one does rigorous exercise or follows a strict diet, everything will go in vain if they don't get proper sleep.

"Go to bed at 9.30 PM and get up at 5.30, 8 hours sleep is a must. You may think why can't I try going to bed late and get up late, but believe me getting up early in the morning has its own benefits. It is the best time you can take to nourish yourself. It is very important during your weight loss journey," she said.

​Sip water, don't gulp​


"Water intake is very important during weight loss. During day time one should take at least 3 to 3.5 L of water. Also, while taking water, make sure you sip it and not gulp. Water can help you keep control of your food intake too," the actress added.

​Count your calorie intake​


The actress reminds that it is very important to keep a tab on the calorie intake per day. She also adds that one should not miss taking the required amount of calories too.

​Self-discipline is important​


"There might be parties where tempting food items will be there, you might have some craving too, but maintain self-discipline. You don't have to stay away from parties or get-togethers, but have the self-control of limiting your food intake," she said.

​Dont miss exercises​

Niya says that just like the diet it is important to do routine exercise too. She reminds that it is always good to keep a healthy lifestyle.

​Use less oil​

"You might pour oil into your food without even thinking how much calorie does it have. Reduce the amount of oil you use on a daily basis to half, you will get better results," she added.

​Dont starve​


Though a strict diet is a must for weight loss, the actress reminds us that it is important not to starve.

"You can't do miracles by starving. During weight loss, it is important to take proper and healthy food. The only thing you have to completely stop is the intake of sugar and junk. Eating food on time is very much needed," she said.

​Do weightloss for yourself, not for others​


"You should have the right mindset if you have to achieve your goal. No matter how much your family or loved ones say, the urge should come from within. Start the weight loss when you are sure that you need it," she said.

​Stick to your plan for 21 days​


"There will be many distractions during your weight loss, but since you have started it have the urge to finish it too. As it says, it takes 21 days for a habit to be formed so no matter what, please stick to your plan for 21 days," the actress shared.
