Malayalam TV has a long list of sitcoms to boast about. From the family satire 'Thatteem Mutteem' to the award-winning show 'Marimayam', the list just goes on. But, did you know these sitcoms are a favourite of not only the common man but also eminent movie maker Priyadarshan? Yes, you heard it right. Recently, the award-winning director has shared that he is a fan of the popular sitcom, 'Marimayam'.
In an interview, Priyadarshan said, "Just the way I watch Tom and Jerry, I watch the TV show, 'Marimayam'.I like it a lot. How realistic are the actors in it? I used to think, why are they not in movies. I like the show a lot and it is very interesting, too. The show has a huge viewership."

Sharing a snippet of the interview, actress Sneha Sreekumar, who plays Mandodari in the show, has thanked the director for his appreciation.
"Happy to share Priyan sir's words about Marimayam. Thank you, sir," she wrote.
