From Arjun Janya to Pavan Kumar: Celebs who have lost family members due to COVID-19

The second wave of Covid-19 has been witnessing the death of many lives across the nation. In the Kannada telly industry, many celebs succumbed to the virus and lost their lives while many others have lost some of their loved ones. From Arjun Janya and Pavan Kumar, here are the celebs who suffered a personal loss during the pandemic.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa judge Arjun Janya is a shaken man. The ace music director took to his social media page to reveal to his fans, friends, and followers that he lost his brother Kiran to Covid-19 complications, as he shared a heartwarming memory of the two. Arjun shared how much he would miss his brother, to which all his fans and friends expressed their condolences and also wished him love and strength to get through this tough time.

The ace actress lost her sister due to Covid-19 complications in the month of April. Speaking to the media, Sunetra said, “My older sister died due to a bad system. When the BBMP allocates hospitals for Covid patients, there is no ICU in place. Adding her elder sister to a hospital without an ICU has caused her to die."

Pavan's beloved brother-in-law became a victim of Covid-19. The actor indeed lost two of his family members due to Covid-19 complications. Speaking about the same with ETimes TV, the actor said, "I have lost two of my family members within a time span of two days due to Coronavirus. We tried our best to save them but nothing worked out. Trust me, the situation out there is getting worse every single second. I have struggled to arrange an oxygen concentrator for my brother-in-law and his father."

Varshitha has just recovered from the deadly virus and is currently spending time with her family members. However, the past few days have been quite tough for the actress and she lost her father and grandmother due to Covid-19 complications. Speaking to ETimes TV, the actress said, "My entire life came upside down as I lost my father and grandmother due to Covid-19 complications. My father passed away right after two days of my grandmother's demise. Both of them suffered a lot. While my grandmother breathed her last at home, my father passed away at the hospital itself. So, I never got to see my father before his death."

Nammane Yuvarani fame Raghu also lost two of his family members owing to Covid-19. The actor shared the news on his Instagram handle during the initial days of the second wave of Covid-19 in the state and requested everyone to follow safety precautions. He even pleaded with everyone to stay indoors.

Anirudh has been maintaining a low profile when it comes to his family. However, in one of the media interactions, the actor revealed that his family, too, has lost two of their members. Although he did not mention who the victims were, Anirudh only stated they were his close relatives.
