, though disheartened by the turn of events, has taken it in his stride and is now looking at diversifying his career.
“Top most on my list is to shift the focus to films. Like all actors, I too came to Bengaluru to make a name in films. Television happened along the way and I enjoyed that stint, too,” shares Rakesh. Having already done short films, Rakesh is now looking forward to the release of his big screen outing Shubhamangala. “Besides movies, I’m also part of the stand up comedy group called

LOLbagh

. Then of course, I also dabble in graphic designing. These are are testing times. I’m looking at fortifying my career and making ends meet,” adds Rakesh.
Rakesh has been part of many interesting short film projects that were shot either during the lockdown or just before it. Among those was also one by Gantumoote filmmaker Roopa Rao. Rakesh has also been actively involved with sketches that are being made by LOLbagh. His dalgona coffee sketch particularly won a lot of good reviews.
Rakesh, who is also a photographer, is excited about his big screen outing Shubhamangala. This film has a big ensemble cast, which includes popular names like Sidhartha Maadhyamika, Meghana Gaonkar and Hitha Chandrashekhar among others. The film was premiered at the Bengaluru International Film Festival.
