In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Kiran gets candid about his comeback and his characterization in Kannadati.

The actor, who made a comeback to Kannada television with a popular daily show 'Kannadati' has yet again won the heart of many with his charm.

2/6

I was questioned about my comeback

"I was often questioned by fans on social media about my comeback on Kannada TV. Coming back was always at the back of my mind. When I was approached for Kannadati, I was impressed with the story and character," shared the actor.

3/6

My character is very natural and one can easily relate to it

"The makers are very particular about the show in every aspect, especially with a fast-paced screenplay. Even my character is very natural and one can easily relate to it. Moreover, I relate to this character a lot which is one of the reasons why I instantly gave a nod for the show." he adds.

4/6

I portray a role very ambitious person

"Be it Monty Shetty from my Hindi show 'Tu Aashiqui' or Nakul from 'Kinnari', my character in Kannadati is very different. Unlike the family man in my previous flicks, I portray a role very ambitious person here. At the end of the day, he is only concerned about his career and believes that emotional connect is good only until you are rich." avers Kiran.

5/6

I do not smoke in real life

Unlike my character Harsha in Kannadati, I do not smoke in real life. I do not encourage others also to do it. Here in the show, I smoke only because of my character demands it. I play the role of a business tycoon. So to showcase the stress, I am portrayed as an avid smoker.

Viewers can relate the show to their personal lives

"Sometimes, you need to choose between your relationship and career. So at that point of time, some become emotional and choose relationships. They won't even have a backup plan for survival. Your pocket should be full in order to have a healthy relationship," sums up Kiran Raj.
