Working during a pandemic is no easy feat, especially when several actors have been infected with COVID-19 while at work. However, Yesha Rughani, who was last seen in ‘Musakaan’, says that the unit of her show, ‘Hero - Gayab Mode On’, are taking all precautions to make sure that the virus is at bay on the set.
Talking about it, she says, “I think the new normal has become a lifestyle now.
Whether I am going for work or something else, I have to follow safety precautions. Obviously, one is scared. But on the set, we take every precaution possible. We have a medical team stationed there, who check us daily. The make-up and hair stylists wear their PPE kits all the time. So, overall, it’s a secure working environment. I hope everybody stays well and fit.”
The actress is back on the set after almost a year and loving it. “We wrapped up ‘Musakaan’ in December last year and this show is launching in the same month. We had started shooting in November for ‘Hero’. So, I am back on screen after almost a year. It feels good to be back and I missed being on-screen. I missed shooting and I am enjoying the feeling of sitting on a makeup chair, going through the entire routine, listening to action, cut, etc. I love each and every minute detail of shoot life. It’s fabulous to be back,” she says.
In fact, Yesha has got a lot of appreciation for her look, too. “The break was rejuvenating. I was on a strict detox and as a result, my skin, hair and body healed. My sleeping pattern was regular and I followed a proper routine, even though there was a lockdown. I had ample time to take care of myself. I lost weight. I am getting good reviews for the way I am looking. I am excited about my look in the new show. I am sporting short hair, which is a pleasant change,” she smiles.
Meanwhile, Yesha started a balloon business during the lockdown and plans on balancing both her acting and business venture. “Lockdown has, of course, changed our lives in many ways – from being able to value things to be grateful to life, self-healing and taking care of yourself, self-discipline. I ventured into a new business. I like being busy, so I don’t think it will be a problem for me to manage both things. I carry my laptop to the set and make new designs during breaks. I think it’s going to be fun to manage both,” she signs off.
