Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai producer Rajan Shahi opens up about having issues with Hina Khan in the past; says 'chapter is closed'

Producer Rajan Shahi of the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently opened up about his equation with the show's former lead actress Hina Khan. He admitted to having some disagreements with her but also expressed his admiration for her.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has often been in the news for alleged conflicts between its actors and the producer, Rajan Shahi. There were rumors about actors like Mohsin Khan, Hina Khan, and Harshad Chopda having differences with Shahi. In a recent interaction with ABP News, Rajan Shahi confirmed his disagreements with Hina Khan, who played the character Akshara in the show.

The show began with Hina Khan in the lead role, and it gained a lot of popularity. However, there were reports of tension between Khan and the producer Rajan Shahi. Shahi addressed these rumors in an interview, mentioning that despite their differences, he still admires Khan and her transformation.

Rajan Shahi shared, "People who know their jobs, who dare, they'll survive. For example, Hina (Khan), I had differences with her, and I still have. But she survived because she had that talent, and she had that talent and X-factor and intelligence to know how to change her thing. She changed into a fashionista and all that. I admire that. I don't speak to her but I admire Hina Khan."

He further added, "Woh ladki ne kitna intelligent mehnat ki, haa, hamare last few months mey issues hua they, chapter close but uss ladki ney apne aapko reinvent kiya, mehnat kari, aaj bhi kar rahi hai, granted nahi le rahi hai (That girl worked on herself. Yes, we did had issues during her last few months on the show, chapter close. But she reinvented herself, worked hard, she is still working hard and not taking things for granted)."

After her stint in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Hina Khan transformed her image and took on challenging roles. She participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss, showcasing her real personality to the audience. She later ventured into negative character roles, notably as Kamolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.

Rajan Shahi also addressed a major decision he made to replace two actors from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai due to unprofessional behavior. He mentioned that despite giving many chances, things got out of hand, and he had to take a drastic step. Shahi clarified rumors about a 'no dating clause' in actor contracts, stating that actors should understand the difference between personal and professional lives.
