‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ January 21 written update: Abhira saves Vani, finds out about the dance competition

The latest episode of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ starts with Abhira leaving the school after finding out that Vani has gone missing. She tells Maira’s teacher that she has to leave because of an emergency. Maira then uses her teacher’s phone to call Armaan and tell him everything. He then calls Abhira in anger, though before she can explain anything, he hangs up the call.Abhira leaves to find Vani, who is seen in another shot, asking a stranger about where she can find an orphanage. Mehere witnesses all of this and decides that she needs to kill Vani. However, before she can do anything, Abhira finds Vani and scolds her for running away from home. Meher tries to kill both Vani and Abhira, citing that they are the root cause of her problem. She, however, fails as Abhira manages to save the two of them while getting injured.Abhira later asks Vani why she ran away, to which she replies by saying that she feels like an orphan and that she overheard people in the house talking about her. Abhira also finds out that Vani has some money on her. After a while, she is left shocked to discover that it was Vidya who prompted Vani to go to the orphanage and that the money came from her only. Abhira returns home and confronts Vidya directly. Even Manisha, after learning the truth, calls her out and asks her whether she actually did this. Vidya refuses to say anything and tells them that she will only talk once her son is here. Armaan later confesses that his mother indirectly confirmed that she told Vani to go to the orphanage, and tells Abhira that he will handle it later.The scene shifts and shows Abir and Kaira arriving at the Poddar house. While talking at the dinner table, Kaira makes a joke about Surekha, which leaves Abir agitated. The family asks why Surekha has not come for dinner, to which Abir makes an excuse that she is unwell. Kaira, however, remains honest and tells her mother that she did not come because of her.Abir leaves the dinner table and refuses to eat at his in-laws' home. He criticizes Kaira and her mother for making passing comments about his chahchi all the time. Dadi Sa is seen supporting him as he storms off.The promo for the next episode plays out, showing Abhira telling Maira that both she and Vani have qualified for the dancing competition. Maira, however, informs her that the competition is only possible when the child dances with their parent.
