‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ January 14 written update: Meher brings chaos to Maira's birthday party

The latest episode of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ starts off with Maira’s birthday celebrations going on with full force; however, drama ensues. Abhira tells Dadi Sa that she has gone through a lot of effort to bake a cake for Maira’s special day. She also shares that she has been planning a magic show for the party as well. This leaves Dadi Sa overjoyed as she believes that the celebration will be a huge success.The scene shifts to Meher arriving at the Poddar family house later, along with her father and a gigantic cake in tow. She brings the castle size cake for Maira’s birthday. Abhira gets angered that Meher is at their house, and hides Vani in time so that Meher cannot spot her. Maira sees Meher’s cake and gets overly excited. In the process, she ends up knocking over her mother’s handmade cake, leaving Abhira distraught. Maira also gets excited over all of the gifts that Meher has brought for her, along with all of the family members. They all praise the cake and thank Meher for doing so much for Maira. The scene shifts to Abhira bending down to pick up her spoiled cake as Vani helps her, and even wipes away the tears from her face.Abhira goes up to Armaan and asks her why he invited the Mittals to Maira’s birthday party. Armaan confronts her instead and asks her what her problem is with them. Abhira calms down after she remembers that she cannot tell Armaan the truth, as it will deeply hurt him. She makes up an excuse and says that she is simply irritated and angry because her cake got destroyed because of Meher’s arrival. Armaan tells her to keep calm and not create any drama, as it is their daughter’s special day. Meanwhile, Abhira also hides Vani in her room, not wanting Meher to see her. The episode ends with Abhira, Armaan, and all of the family members celebrating Maira’s birthday with full zeal. The scene shows Krish watching over everything with a smirk on his face, while Meher watches uncomfortably as Armaan and Abhira play around with their daughter.The scene shifts to Armaan suddenly asking Abhira where Vani is and why she is not attending the celebrations. She tells him that Vani got uncomfortable because of the crowd, and is resting in their room for the time being. Meanwhile, Vani is seen panicking in her room as she hears a short circuit somewhere.
