'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' February 12 written update: Maira's admission gets confirmed while Abhira worries about repaying loan

The latest episode of the show begins with Tanya and Manoj talking about the company and discussing the upcoming presentation. Vidya, Kajal and Manisha all decide to take Maira shopping, as she has to leave for her school hostel soon; however, chaos ensues.

Kajal and Manisha get into a fight

While shopping, Manisha continues to flaunt her wealth and keeps on commenting about other people. Moving forward, she accidentally bumps into Kajal, which leads to an argument. Manisha comments about how she should get something expensive to put in Kajal's bag to ensure that it becomes valuable if a thief ever tries to steal it. This comment infuriates Kajal, and the two continue to argue.

Maira tries to intervene; however, she fails to do anything as the two continue with their arguments.

Armaan comes home, and Maira asks him about her admission. Armaan chooses not to explain the situation to her and instead praises her for properly handling Kajal and Manisha's situation. He tells her to do something else while he wonders about her admission and what will happen if she gets accepted fully and leaves for the hostel.

Abhira gets to know about her loan instalments

Meanwhile, the scene shifts to Abhira and Mukti dancing and enjoying themselves at Rinku's wedding. As everyone continues to celebrate, Abhira gets a notification on her phone and moves away from everyone. She realises that she has to pay the first instalment of the loan she took for Mukti's education within the next two weeks. This makes her tense all over again as she wonders how she will be able to get her hands on the money in time.

Jaya then comes up to Abhira and thanks her for everything and for saving Rinku's wedding. She also thanks her for decorating and getting an expensive car for her daughter's transportation. This leaves Abhira worried, as the car should have already been delivered by now, not realising that it belongs to Armaan.

Armaan tells Maira about the admission

Armaan informs Maira that her admission has been confirmed. Maira rejoices at this; however, Armaan sits her down and tells her that she may face a lot of issues while she goes away for school. He mentions that since she does not have a mother, many people, including the teachers, may question her about Abhira's whereabouts. Maira gets emotional; however, she tells him that she stands by him and will instead tell everyone that Armaan is both her mother and father. The comment leaves Armaan emotional as the father-daughter duo hug.

Later Armaan and Kaveri have a discussion about Maira's school. He asks her whether she is proud of him for handling the situation with Maira's school. Kaveri tells him that the real challenges will begin once Maira officially leaves for the hostel.
