'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' begins with Arman telling Abhira to rest while he takes revenge on Meher for what she has done. Abhira questions if Arman finally trusts her. Arman assures her that he believes her completely. He asks her to stay calm and not stress herself. Abhira becomes anxious because, for the first time in a long time, Arman is showing faith in her, yet he wants her to remain silent. Her health starts getting worse. Arman tries to keep her relaxed. Abhira desperately wants to prove her innocence to him, but Arman tells her he trusts her without needing any proof.
Myra discovers the truth
Myra keeps asking Krish and
Aryan about Arman's whereabouts. Madhav plays Abhira's song, which makes Myra uncomfortable and restless. She asks him to stop the music. Myra remembers Abhira. Kajal tells Madhav to turn off the song because Myra is getting upset. Madhav believes Myra needs to remember Abhira to understand how much she loves her. Myra leaves and goes to Kaveri's room, where she finds Abhira's mobile phone. When she checks it, she sees Mukti's picture as the wallpaper, which leaves her confused.
Abhira finally tells Arman the whole truth. She reveals that Meher set the dancing venue on fire to kill Vani. Abhira explains that she asked Arman to save Myra while she went to protect Vani from Meher, since nobody believes her claims. Abhira shocks Arman by telling him that Meher brutally murdered Rajat and Vani's mother. Arman is completely stunned by this revelation.
Myra uses her birthdate to unlock Abhira's phone and is surprised that the password has remained the same over the years. When she scrolls through the phone, she discovers that Abhira has saved more of Myra's pictures than Vani. Most importantly, Myra finds a confession video from Meher. Meher thinks about Abhira and decides that if Abhira is alive, it would be dangerous for her. She decides to call Abhira and threaten her.
Myra confronts Meher
Instead, Myra reveals to Meher that she knows the truth about her crimes. She warns Meher to stay away from Arman. Meher tries to manipulate Myra, but Myra stands firm and cancels Arman's wedding with her. Vidya and Kajal are confused about why Myra is suddenly canceling the wedding.
Mittal asks Meher what is troubling her. Meher says she is nervous because of the wedding. Mittal says he understands her worry. Meher thinks she cannot tell Mittal the truth, or he will not let her handle the situation on her own.
The confession and FIR
At the hospital, the doctor asks Arman to fill in his name as Abhira's husband on her form. Kaveri says Abhira is her daughter, and she will complete the form instead. Arman writes Abhira's confession and decides to send the police to arrest Meher. He asks Kaveri to file the FIR. Kaveri tells Arman that the FIR has been registered.
Wedding cancelled
Vidya calls Arman, and he immediately cancels his wedding with Meher. Madhav, Aryan, and Tanya celebrate this decision. Arman asks the Poddars to protect Myra before his return. Vidya suggests that Abhira might have influenced Arman and Myra into making this decision. Madhav defends Abhira and says she has done the right thing. He celebrates with Aryan and Tanya.
Abhira becomes anxious and wants to reach Myra as fast as possible. Arman and Kaveri ask her to rest and not worry. Abhira says Meher might harm Myra's life, and she needs to protect her daughter. Myra decides to go to Mukti and keep her safe from Meher. Abhira is restless, thinking about her daughter's safety.
Precap: Meher and Myra get into a violent fight when Myra tries to protect Mukti. During the struggle, Meher falls down the stairs. When Arman, Kaveri, and Abhira reach the hostel, they find Meher dead. Myra gets arrested and is sent to the juvenile center as punishment for Meher's death. Myra looks at Abhira with tears in her eyes.
