Gaurav and Akanksha’s love story began at an audition. The duo met each other nine years ago, and it was love at first sight for the Anupamaa actor. Gaurav even managed to get her number during their very first meeting. After finishing their audition, Gaurav offered Akanksha a lift since she was heading to another audition and was getting late.

During one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav spoke about his wife's decision of not wanting kids. He said, "We will complete 9 years in November. My wife doesn’t want to. I want to, but it’s a love marriage. Whatever she says, manna padega. Pyaar kiya hai toh nibhaana toh padega. Her thinking is also valid. There are a lot of responsibilities. And it’s only the two of us for each other. If I go for work the entire day and she also gets work, with whom will we keep the kids? We don’t want anyone else to take care of them. I had told her that I wanted to, but I understood when she explained.”
