Nehha Pendse is back in action. The actress is now seen in popular television show, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, as Anita Bhabhi. It's been quite a journey for her. While doing the popular show May I Come In Madam? where Nehha was seen as the hot boss, Sanjana, the actress went through some medical complications. It led her to put on weight. She was reportedly asked by makers to either get fit or walk out. Even though it made news, the actress rubbished the rumours. As part of her regimen, Nehha took to pole dancing and her videos became quite a rage on social media. She'd post several of them where she was seen practicing the form and doing even the most difficult moves with ease. Another time when Nehha made news was when she joined the very talented Kapil Sharma as a host on his new show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma. This was Kapil's comeback stint post TKSS but it failed to create an impression and was pulled off-air in no time. Nehha entered the house of Bigg Boss 12 as a contestant. The actress, however, was evicted within a month of her stay due to low votes but received tremendous love from her fans. Nehha also told TOI in her interview that she got lots of work opportunities after Bigg Boss but she couldn't relate to the parts. She said, "At that time I was in a dilemma whether to cash in the popularity of Bigg Boss or to stay true to the artist inside me. The two first met at a common friend's party and he connected with her for professional reasons. They got talking and after three months of dating, Shardul proposed to Nehha for marriage, in April 2019. The two of them were serious about marriage right from the start. Nehha told BT in an interview, "We didn’t have the dekhte hain, chalta hai attitude. Shardul told me that he was ready to marry me that very day, but he wanted me to get over my past. At that point, I was seeking more than just love... I was looking for commitment and marriage as well. Both of us had burnt our fingers in love once and didn’t want to get into that space again. When she declared her marriage with Shardul, there was a lot of talk about his two failed marriages. Speaking to BT about it earlier, Nehha had said, "What’s the big deal about this? Today, many of us are getting married late because of various reasons, including the focus on career. A lot of people end up having more than one relationship before finally tying the knot. The commitment, love and physical proximity could be the same as it is in a marriage, the only difference is that there is no legal stamp over it. So, why are people talking about Shardul being a divorcee? It’s not that I am a virgin either." These days Nehha is in the news for stepping in to play the role of Anita Bhabhi in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. Talking about the pressures of the same, Nehha told TOI, "Yes, there is pressure on my shoulders because the show has been running for the last 5 years now and it is a successful show. Saumya Tandon, who played the role previously, has left an impression on the audience's mind. So automatically audience expectations also increase...who will come next to play the role. Nehha also clarified that she is not going to imitate Saumya Tandon. She said, "When you are playing a character and that role has been essayed by someone in the past, for me it is as good as a new role. Because many people are asking me if you are going to do the same thing or will you bring your own element to the character. So I want everyone to know that I am an artist and not a mimicry artist.
