In a candid discussion with Jad Hadid and Avinash Sachdev, she admitted she knew it was wrong, yet leaving felt impossible. “I was so in love that I couldn't get out. Everyone tried, but I just couldn't. It took me a year to finally leave that behind.” She went on to explain how emotionally draining the phase was and how deeply it affected her mental health. “I had someone who was super jealous and obsessive. I was in one year of suffering. It took me one year to break up. I knew he was not the person I wanted to be with, but I was so much in love that I just couldn't get out. I literally used to pray to God every day. Please help me out of this situation. I couldn't imagine a single day without him. It was five years ago. Avinash has seen me in that phase. I was so disturbed. Everyone tried to wake me up, and I told everyone I know what you all are saying, but understand I'm not able to. It was a very difficult phase,” she said.When Jad asked her about her current relationship status, Jiya shared how life changed after that phase. She spoke about trying again, failing again, and eventually letting go of the fear of loneliness. She said, “After that, I've been in a few relationships in and out, but nothing lasted. I've just left everything to the universe; if it happens, it happens. I thought initially, I thought I can't be alone, I want somebody. We are human beings at the end of the day, we feel like we are not meant to live alone. That happened to me too, and I couldn't live alone. It was very difficult and disturbing to be lonely, but things changed, and I've made peace with myself.”She also made her boundaries clear when it came to relationships and emotional chaos. She expressed, “It is a red flag for me, being friends with your exes. There are people who are friends with their exes but I can't. If you want to be friends with your ex, please be with her. I don't want chaos.”Recently, Jiya also addressed the dating and engagement rumours linked to Abhishek Malhan aka Fukra Insaan. She took to her Instagram Stories and shared a selfie with a mystery man. His face was not visible. He was seen kissing Jiya on the forehead as she clicked the picture.Along with the photo, Jiya wrote, “Let’s leave false rumours in 2025! (sic)”. The message made her stance clear.
