Gangubai Kathiawadi's Varun Kapoor separates from wife after a decade (Exclusive)

Actor Varun Kapoor, best known for his roles in Swaragini — Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, Savitri Devi College & Hospital and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, has parted ways with his wife Dhanya Mohan. A reliable source revealed, “The divorce was finalised around two weeks ago. Varun has now immersed himself totally into work.”

Despite repeated attempts, Varun remained unavailable for comment. The two had tied the knot in 2013, marking more than a decade together.

Earlier in an interview, as quoted by a portal, Varun spoke about his marriage with Dhanya. He said, "Dhanya is flying all the time and I am shooting. We knew this was going to come when we got married. I still feel I am part bachelor and part married, because about 15 days a month, I am managing my home on my own. But it is nice; we have just the right distance and space and look forward to being with each other more. We try and manage our time accordingly."

He added, "“My wife will get bored if I don’t have a female fan following (laughs). She is quite happy to know see people loving me so much. She is not at all insecure for she knows that I’ll go back to only her at the end of the day.”

Varun also spoke about how his life changed post marriage. He said, ""Life after marriage has turned wonderful with a lot of changes happening around. There is always somebody to share your problem with and no matter what, if there are no ears to listen to you after marriage, there is always someone to hear what you have to say. My wife is like my backbone."
