Urfi Javed opens up about having suicidal tendencies; reveals, ‘Failed career, failed relationships, no money made me feel like a loser who doesn’t deserve to live’

Urfi Javed, who rose to face with her Bigg Boss OTT stint, is quite known for her bold as brass style today. While she is mostly in talks for her unconventional fashion statements, very few know about her struggle and journey in the industry. The actress, who is often called out for her choice of clothing, recently bared her heart out in her latest social media post. Urfi took to her Instagram handle and shared a series of bold pictures along with a long note giving a ‘pep talk’ to her fans. She started the ‘pep talk’ by talking about the rough phase of her life. She began the note and revealed about having suicidal tendencies. “You know how many times I’ve failed? I can’t even count now! A few times in my life I’ve felt like the only way to get out of this mess is to end my life,” she wrote.

Urfi continued and revealed the reason why she had suicidal thoughts. She shared that it was because of the lows in her career, relationships and financial problems. She wrote, “My life was seriously f****d up . Failed career, failed relationships, no money made me feel like a loser who doesn’t deserve to live.”

Going further, the actress shared what has made her keep going on, irrespective of all the hurdles. Urfi added, “I still don’t have a lot of money, successful career and I’m still single but I have hope. The only reason I’m alive today (trust me there have been so many incidents in my life which nearly killed me) is because I never stopped. I kept walking and I’m still walking.”

Ending her note on a positive note, Urfi wrote, “I may not be where I want to be but at least I’m on the way. Some pep talk before the year ends ! Get up, fight, repeat . You’re stronger than the situations around you.”

Earlier in an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Urfi unabashedly spoke about the most difficult times of her life and career. Baring her heart out, the actress revealed, “I have had several weak moments because I had no plan B. There have been moments when I was replaced and I was very hurt and I thought of ending my life as nothing was happening. To be very honest I was very suicidal but I could never gather courage to end my life. I could never gather courage to cut my wrist or hand myself, I just couldn’t do it. I had no option but to continue.”

During the interview, Urfi disclosed some lesser-known details about her struggle. She shared how a web show producer conned her and asked her to compromise. The actress revealed how she was cheated into doing a lesbian scene and was forced to remove her clothes during the shoot too. Talking about the shocking turn of events then, Urfi had shared, “I even tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a running vehicle but my friends saved me. They literally dragged me out of it.”

Yes, you read that right. Urfi ran from her house at a young age. She chose her freedom above 'suffering' in a conservative Muslim family, as stated by her. Speaking about the same, Urfi shared with ETimes TV, “I was a girl who was told that girls should not have their voice. I was from a conservative Muslim family where they only thing about their daughters getting married. I was not supposed to talk in front of males and I have to wear only full clothes, totally covered from head to toe. All these thoughts made me a rebel. I became a rebel because I was suppressed a lot and was not allowed anything except for education. When I was a kid I did know what childhood or freedom was. I badly wanted to feel and taste freedom. Even right now if I have to choose between money and freedom I would choose freedom.”

In another interview with ETimes TV, Urfi opened up about her relationship with paras Kalnawat, who is currently seen in Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa. She shared, “I wanted to break up with him one month after we got together. He was a kid. He was very possessive. He tried to woo me again by having 3 tattoos of my name, but who does that after one has parted ways? Surely, I wasn't going back to him just for the tattoos. Even if he had tattoos of my name all over his body, I wouldn't have.” Urfi also claimed that Paras stopped her entry on the same show too.
