TV SERIALS NEED TO BE FINITE WITH TIGHT STORYLINES: NIKKHIL ARYA

The Kumkum Bhagya and Tere Liye actor, who spends a lot of time in the city, is currently shooting for his Marathi debut. From upcoming projects to an advice he received from Boman Irani, Nikhil spoke to us about many things. Excerpts:

‘THE AUDIENCE CONSUMES CONTENT DIFFERENTLY’
Revolving around three women who rediscover themselves, the Marathi film directed by debutant Abhyang Kuvlekar, has Nikkhil playing a character close to his real-life personality. He told us, “I was drawn to the movie because of the story. Getting to work with Mrinal Kulkarni, Ashwini Bhave, Suhas Joshi, Shruti Marathe and Shailesh Datar is exciting.” When it comes to OTT, Nikkhil isn’t in a hurry. “If there’s a sizable number of people who love watching mass entertainers, there’s a fragment who watch 12th Fail, Paatal Lok or even Sacred Games. I want to do stories that are closer to reality,” said Nikkhil.

‘BOMAN IRANI WAS THE FIRST PERSON I MET IN THE INDUSTRY’
Boman Irani didn’t just give Nikkhil his first portfolio, but a piece of advice too. “It was him who gave me the advice to never learn acting because once your instincts as an actor are lost, you become one among the crowd,” said Nikkhil.

On his love for Pune
“The Pune that I grew up in was paradise. The memories remain but I still like the pace of life here. The old restaurants and cafes have always been my go-to places in the city.”
