Tunisha Sharma's mother accuses Sheezan Khan of doing drugs, forcing actress to convert to Islam; Sheezan's family hits back: Timeline of who said what

Tunisha Sharma, who died by suicide on the set of her TV show Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul on December 24, has left her family and friends shattered. The late actress' mother, Vanita Sharma, has accused her co-star and ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan of abetement of suicide and levelled multiple allegations against him. After her police complaint, Sheezan, who was in police custody for a few days, has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. While his bail application will be heard on January 7, his family has come forth and denied all the claims made by Vanita and her uncles Pawan Sharma and Sanjeev Kaushal. In a press conference Tunisha's mom said, "Tunisha cannot die by suicide. I just don’t know what happened in the 10-15 mins. God knows what he did with my child since it happened in Sheezan’s makeup room. Sheezan slapped her and she cried a lot saying he used me. Initially, she had told me that she likes Sheezan." According to Vanita Sharma, Sheezan was cheating on Tunisha with another woman. She added, "Tunisha broke up with Sheezan after reading his chats with another woman. I just want to know what conspired that day, what triggered her to take this decision. Sheezan brought her down and they didn’t call an ambulance. We learnt there was a delay of 15 mins."

Tunisha Sharma's mother Vanita also said, "It was Tunisha who told me that Sheezan would do drugs. He would pressurize her to change her religion." Vanita also went on to say that Tunisha got a tattoo for Sheezan. "Falaq (Sheezan’s sister) was the one who took her to get a tattoo, she was the one who took her to a dargah." The late actress' mom claimed that Sheezan used to also ask for expensive gifts from Tunisha.

Tunisha Sharma's uncle Pawan Sharma spoke to the media about the case and accused Sheezan of cheating on the actress. He said, "If he was innocent then he didn't need to delete the chat. I don't know what CCTV footage the police got or not. We are waiting for the investigation to be complete, only then we will come to know. Today the police submitted the remand report and they mentioned the same thing that Tunisha had shared with her mother that Sheezan had affairs with other women Sheezan had deleted all the chats either before or after Tunisha's suicide. "

Sheezan's lawyer in a press conference said, "Tunisha and Sanjeev Kaushal's relationship is being investigated by police. But the two of them used to control Tunisha's finances and her life. Tunisha often pleaded in front of her mother for her own money. Her mother used to question her a lot before sending money despite the money being earned by Tunisha. Before lockdown, Sanjeev Kaushal came to Mumbai for treatment. He insisted on taking Tunisha to Chandigarh. Her mother asked the actress to go but she refused. Tunisha used to panic a lot upon hearing the name of Sanjeev Kaushal. When Tunisha refused to go, Tunisha's mom Vanita broke her mobile and tried to strangulate her on the instigation of Sanjeev Kaushal. Back then, Tunisha had informed about this to the director of her show and also Kanwar Dhillon. After this, her mother and Sanjeev left for Chandigarh for 3 months. Tunisha lived with Kanwar Dhillon. Sheezan's sisters - Shafaq and Falaq Naaz - showed photos from the shoot and said, "Tunisha's mother is saying that she was forced to wear hijab, this is the proof that it was from the channel and not us. Hijab, dargah is out of question. Our religion is personal to us. We don't force anyone or show things in public. You know us for years, our life has been an open book." The two also said that while playing a character, one tends to start speaking the language and wearing the same clothes all since an actor works for so long on set. They said that the question is not about religion but someone's mental health. Sheezan's mother then said, "Vanita Sharma accused Falaq of taking Tunisha to dargah, but then you don't know where and when it was done. She accused Sheezan of slapping Tunisha, but then she didn't take any action or come to my house. Her single child has left. And the lawyer is taking power of attorney."

Sheezan's advocate said, "It wasn't Tunisha's first relationship. She had two break-ups before this but she never broke down because of this. She had known Sheezan and his family for 6 months because of the show. In their relationship of 2 months, they decided to focus on their careers and discuss everything later." Sheezan's sister also revealed how Tunisha's mother was present at Sheezan's birthday and visited their house on Diwali.

Actor Shaan Shashank Mishra came out in support of his good friend Sheezan. He told us, "I know Sheezan well enough to say that all these accusations – consuming drugs or cheating on Tunisha -- are totally false. All those who know him will support my claim. He wasn’t into drugs,” he says, adding, “Everyone has a past. Tunisha and Sheezan have been shooting since June last year for almost 13-14 hours a day. If he was cheating on her she would have known and if she knew why would she be with him? If he was involved with anyone else, he would have admitted. He was not cheating that is for sure." He said, "She was 20 and started working at a young age. Obviously, someone would have to take care of her money. We never stopped her from spending her money. She was free to buy and spend that money whenever and on whatever she wanted. They have also said that she was forced to work. Koi kisi ko zabardasti kaise kaam kara sakta hai. He shared, "Mujhe shaayad iss baat ka hamesha malaal rahega that she wasn’t my real daughter. Harr koi itni pyaari aur talented ladki jaisi beti chahega. I have loved her like my own daughter, Ritika (22 years). We have known the family for the past 10-12 years. In fact, we celebrated Tunisha and Ritika’s birthdays together. 16 birthdays humne saath mein celebrate kiye hain. Jo Tunisha ke liye aata tha woh Ritika ke liye aata tha aur jo Ritika ke liye aata tha woh Tunisha ke liye aata tha. Dono ko ek jaise hi treat kiya hai hamesha. Kuch rishte sage rishton se bhi zyada badhkar hote hain. Sabke hote hain, aapke bhi honge." He added, "Bolne ke liye toh log bohot kuchh bolte hain.
