And to end the grand finale on a high note, the makers have invited Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan. The father-son duo take over Kapil’s stage for the grand finale of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4 which will be aired this Saturday, March 14.
The official social media platform of the streaming channel that airs the show, dropped a promo from the upcoming episode. In the video, Kapil asks David Dhawan how difficult it is to work with your own family. As Kapil asks the question, Varun covers his face, David Dhawan responds, "He questions everything, ye kyun Karun main? I tell him ye main bol raha hoon, isliye karo."
He then moves to Varun and asks, "Ek baat batao Varun aapko dikh raha hai aapke papa ek legendary director hain, career aapko saaf dikh raha hai sofa par baith hua, toh baad mein jab aap bahar jaake film sign karte ho, toh ye aapko bolte nahi hai dining table par?"
Varun responds, "At home he doesn't walk around with the aura of a legendary director. Ghar par who lungi mein baithe rehte hain... Abhi jaake shaadi hui hai meri aur Rohit ki toh woh abhi t-shirt pehan lete hai." The revelation leaves everyone in splits of laughter.
The episode will turn into a nostalgic rewind as David Dhawan opens up about the making of his iconic comedy films and shares anecdotes from his long-standing bond with Bollywood’s biggest retro stars.
In the promo ahead, Krushna, Kiku and Sunil Grover arrive dressed up as characters from David Dhawan's blockbuster films. Sunil Grover steals the show as he mimics legendary actor Kader Khan. His mimicry of Kader Khan leaves everyone speechless and David Dhawan remembers his old films. Archana, who is left spellbound says, "Oh My God."
David's son Varun Dhawan will be seen revealing his own fun memories of growing up around film sets, giving the audience a glimpse into the father–son dynamic behind one of Hindi cinema’s most successful comic legacies.
As the curtain falls on Season 4, Kapil’s stage takes a brief bow- only to return soon with Season 5 and even more laughter.
