The Great India Kapil Show: From joking about taking 8 months to shoot an episode with Aamir Khan to Kartik Aaryan not being able to eat chhole bhature for a year for Chandu Champion; Revelations from season finale

The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show wrapped its season finale on 22nd June, the guests for the finale episode were Kartik Aaryan and his mother Bina Tiwari. While shooting for the last episode, Kapil now released the leftover content from the episode on his YouTube channel. Here's what the fans missed from the episode:

Earlier when we used to come on TV, we would shoot 8 episodes in a month. But it took 8 months for us to shoot one episode with Aamir Khan. 6 months we were running behind him and then 2 months he ran behind us to see how the episode turned out post the shoot. Though, the episode received a lot of praise.

Kapil further shares that Ed Sheeran's episode created history, to which Archana Puran Singh joked, 'That is because you spoke in English?' Kapil then shared, 'No, it is because we made Ed speak in Hindi and also made him perform on the Rajasthani folk song with Sunil paaji. Now he is getting calls for family functions. He even asked me about mundan and I told him that one day sing badly on the stage and you will come to know.'

When Kapil asked Kartik's mother her reaction to the dietitians giving a strict diet to her son, she shared, "Mujhe toh dushman lagte hai, for every mom who's son is not allowed to eat, dushman hi lagenge na. But when I understood that he would be determined to do it for the film, even we stopped eating his favourite things at home and followed his diet with him. He loves to eat chhole bhature but I didn't make it. For one whole year he didn't eat chhole bhature."

While talking about the early days, Kapil recalls his experience of witnessing actors' struggling days, "Jab shuru shuru me industry me aaya, TV show Mila, tab aas paas logon ko dekhta ke Famous ho gaye but wasn't earning much and the money was yet to come. So when I used to go to the award shows, I saw they would give speech then would slyly catch an auto and rush home from there before could see."

Kapil then asked Kartik, who is his inspiration, Kartik said, "I am a huge fan of Amitabh sir and even Shah Rukh the way being an outsider they created such a huge platform for themselves and the movies that Amitabh sir did. I really want to work with him, I have only done an ad film with him till now. But I would really love to work with him.
