It all begins when Madhavi Bhide publicly announces that their ladies' group has saved over one and a half lakh rupees. The ladies suggest buying a necklace so that ladies can wear it turn by turn for their social gatherings. An impostor overhears the conversation and runs away with the money before they realise he is not the jeweller. How Daya Bhabhi dons a western avatar and flaunts a fake accent to grab the thief's attention and catch him makes the episode an interesting watch.

Babuji goes to jail

In this particular episode, Babuji goes out on the streets with the intention of helping the homeless. But, due to a series of hilarious, unexpected twists, he ends up in jail. Babuji is mistaken for the 'Wanted Thief' in the city, which further causes more problems for the Gada family. Champaklal, who has been at loggerheads with his son ‘Jethiya’, is unable to get him to clarify the misunderstanding. Dr Haathi gets kidnapped

One of the most unexpected twists of the Tarak Mehta series was Dr Hathi getting kidnapped. It all begins with Popatlal conducting a sting operation. However, his secret operation has hilarious consequences when the kidnappers pick up Dr Hathi instead. While Popatlal wants to rescue Dr Haathi, he also wants to expose the black marketeers without disclosing his identity. Popatlal turns to his best friends, Tarak Mehta and Jethalal, for help. Tapu becomes bald

A cruel shock awaits Daya Bhabhi and Jethalal when their son Tapu decides to shave off his hair. Despite strong opposition from the other members of Gokuldham, Tapu goes ahead with his decision. While Tapu is met with resentment at his home and society, he is least bothered. It is only towards the end of the episode that it is revealed Tapu shaved his hair to support his friend suffering from Leukemia. Jethalal and Daya are left teary-eyed on seeing their son’s compassion. In the middle of the night, Jethalal gets a call from his neighbouring shop that there has been a robbery at Gada Electronics. Accompanied by Atmaram Tukaram Bhide and Popatlal, Jethalal quietly goes to his shop to catch the thief red-handed. The cat-and-mouse chase between Jethalal and the convict is sure to hurt your cheeks and stomach as you laugh out loud. Towards the end of the episode, an unexpected twist awaits the viewers, which further elevates the humour quotient.
