Splitsvilla X5’s Akriti Negi says no ‘third person’ was involved in her break-up with Jashwant Bopanna; thanks him for making her a better person

Splitsvilla X5 couple Akriti Negi and Jashwant Bopanna officially parted ways, as confirmed by Times of India in February 2025. In a candid conversation on Awesome TV’s podcast, Akriti shared her thoughts on life after the breakup, addressing rumours and expressing gratitude toward Jashwant for his role in shaping her as a person.

"I am single. It was a tough time for both Jashwant and me. Many people have been questioning our breakup, but they don’t know the details, so they have no right to judge," Akriti said, making it clear that their split was personal and not open to speculation.

"Our breakup was extremely difficult… for both of us. We were deeply in love. People enjoyed seeing our chemistry. If money was our priority, we would have vlogged daily, but we always kept it real. We did simple things, nothing fancy," she shared, emphasizing their genuine bond.

"There was no third person involved. That could never happen between us. It was our private matter, and we always had immense respect for each other. The breakup was emotionally heavy, and I didn’t have the strength to speak about it back then. Now, I feel much lighter," she clarified.

"I didn’t have the courage to talk about it, but Jashwant did. He spoke with so much strength. You can see it in his eyes in those videos—he was hurting but still handled it maturely," she said, appreciating his resilience.

"Since I didn’t speak initially, people assumed I was at fault. Later, when Jashwant spoke and got back to work, people started criticizing him. He’s an actor—he can’t stop his life because of the breakup. I told people not to bash him, and I truly felt bad for him," she expressed.

"As a person, he changed me for the better. I was full of negativity, but now I have become more positive. I never thanked Jash before, but I want to now. He stood by me like a backbone. He’s the best, but some things are just not meant to be," she reflected.

"We worked on a project together before our breakup. We shot in November, but our breakup happened in December. Even after we parted ways, people couldn’t believe we weren’t together anymore," Akriti shared, recalling their last professional collaboration.
