Sonal Kaushal, the voice of Doraemon and Shinchan reveals how she hid her talent for years

Voice artists play a huge role on television. They not only add life to cartoons that kids watch but also make them more entertaining. The cartoons that children enjoy watching on TV have very hardworking voice artists behind them. One such artist is Sonal Kaushal. She is the voice behind several popular cartoons that kids watch these days.





The voice artists use their voices to make cartoon shows fun and turn cartoon characters into favourites. Sonal Kaushal is one of these talented voice artists. She is known as the “favourite voice of India.” Audiences may not have seen her face but must be very familiar with her voice.


Currently, Sonal is 34 years old, and she started dubbing for Doraemon when she was just 13. In an interview, Sonal said, “I used to spend hours in the studio. I kept this side of my life a secret at school because I didn’t want attention.” This secret stayed safe for a long time. But one day, her father came to pick her up from school and revealed it to everyone. She said, “The next day, the principal announced it in the morning assembly. My classmates were shocked.”


Sonal has a 4-year-old daughter now. She states that she doesn’t need to see rhyming videos because all the characters are inside her daughter. In reality, Sonal started her career as a voice actress when she turned 8 years old. Her first famous character is Doraemon, which she started giving voice to from 2005. She also enjoys a lot of love from the audience for this particular character. After this, she started a channel called “The Motor Mouth” on YouTube.


Apart from Doraemon, other characters voiced by Sonal Kaushal are Bheem from Chhota Bheem, Shinchan, Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls, Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Harley Quinn from Batman: The Animated Series, Pikachu from Pokémon, Violet from Incredibles 2, and Sita from Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Ram. Sonal Kaushal has also dubbed various Marvel movies such as Thor: Love and Thunder, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Her starring Scarlett Johansson, and Amy Jackson in the movie Freaky Ali.
