Shraddha Nigam reveals that after a long time she is doing something close to her heart. She says she likes playing roles which are closer to reality than to do a larger-than-life character. Right now she’s again set to portray a crucial character in the TV show Crime Patrol on Zoom. Shraddha will be seen playing a nurse who had been sodomised by a ward boy at KEM Hospital.
“The torture was so intense, it resulted in the woman being paralysed for 35 long years,” says Shraddha. “This was a very challenging role for me considering it’s a very sensitive issue and I just want to give my best in bringing this incident to life.” Shraddha also took particular care to find out more about her character especially since it was based on a real person. In this case she tried to meet the girl but in vain. “The last image of the woman is when she was 25 years old, which is the only reference we got. The lady should now be about 61. Although she wasn't found, but there was a lot of material to read up about her. There has been so much speculation around her that through many people I could understand the character and realise what the girl must have gone through,” she says.
