Shiv Thakare on The 50: “This is just the start of 2026, I've got much more in the kitty!”

India’s biggest reality show "The 50", premiered on February 1st and there is already immense curiosity surrounding it. One of its kind, the show presents a promising format where contestants compete while their fans stand a chance to win a whopping prize , now that’s truly exciting. Amid all the buzz and fun, the “star of reality" as his fans fondly call him, Shiv Thakare will be seen competing for the win.

A former winner of Bigg Boss Marathi, runner-up of Bigg Boss Hindi and a strong name associated with Roadies and Khatron Ke Khiladi, Shiv has showcased his powerful personality time and again. His journey across these popular shows has earned him massive appreciation, making him one of the contestants everyone has their eyes on.




In a quick chat before entering the show, Shiv shared, “The 50 is a very new concept in India, and I’m glad to be part of its very first season. I’m excited about the show and going inside with all the love and blessings of my fans, supporters, and family. There are lots of tasks involved, and I’m really looking forward to performing them. Competing among 49 other contestants will be fun and I’d love to bring the trophy home. I urge everyone to keep showering me with support like they always have.”

The 50 premiered last night on a grand note with a musical performance, high-octane tasks and elimination. Vansajh Singh became the first contestant to get eliminated from the show. 'The 50' has some of the popular faces of the showbiz industry competing against each other. The first episode was action packed with drama, emotion, action and laughter. The premiere episode saw Bollywood composer actor Himesh Reshammiya's special performance.
