‘Shark Tank India’ funniest moments: From hilarious pitches and savage roasts

‘Shark Tank India’ is basically a reality show disguised as business. Sure, everyone loves the success stories, but being real—we’re here for the chaos. From Ashneer’s legendary meltdowns to products that left the judges questioning reality, this show is a goldmine for memes. It’s given us savage one-liners and moments so awkward you can’t look away. If you need a good laugh, here are the funniest, most unhinged moments from the tank that live in our heads rent-free.

Ashneer Grover doesn't tolerate ‘dogalapan’

Ashneer Grover is the co-founder of BharatPe. The infamous ‘Ye sab doglapan hai’ moment of Ashneer was angered by a pitcher who specified that he would want Vineeta Singh and Aman Gupta to provide funding to his company. In a burst of rage, he told the contestant to get investment from his preferred panellists only and called himself out of the pitch. While other sharks tried to make him understand the pitcher’s point of view, Ashneer said, “Yeh sab doglapan hai. Main tera doglapan utarta hu.”

Namita Thapar’s "Expertise Nahi Hai"

Emcure Pharmaceuticals executive director Namita Thapar is the polar opposite of Ashneer in her reactions to the pitchers. If there is one thing Namita is gonna do, it’s LEAVE. Unlike Ashneer who would roast you alive, Namita just politely bows out the second she doesn't vibe with the business. Her go-to line? "Meri isme expertise nahi hai, isliye I am out" (I don't have expertise in this, so I'm out). It doesn't matter if you're selling rocket ships or lemonade—if she isn't an "expert," she is packing her bags.

Aman Gupta’s "O Hum Bhi Bana Lenge"

Early in season 1, there was a moment when the sharks were competing with each other to convince a pitcher why they were the best mentor for them. As Ashneer emphasized he had made more and bigger brands, boAt co-founder and CMO Aman Gupta - with all his swag - uttered the next meme fodder of the show: “O hum bhi bana lenge (We'll also build).”

Rannvijay Singha gets trolled for UpGrad plug

Rannvijay Singha, the host of Season 1, had the tough job of plugging sponsors during the show. The internet lost it when he tried to gift an UpGrad course to an entrepreneur who was already an IIT graduate with a PhD. It was unintentionally funny because he was offering basic classes to a literal expert. This moment became a huge meme.

Anupam Mittal rocks a saree

Anupam Mittal is usually all business, but in Season 4, the Shaadi.com founder gave us a total moment. During the Aseem Shakti pitch by Swati Singh, he literally draped a saree over his clothes! Namita Thapar lost it, joking, "Hey Bhagwan, bas yahi dekhna baki tha!" (Oh God, that was the only thing left to see!). But honestly? He rocked it. Namita admitted he looked "gorgeous," and Kunal praised him for being such a great sport.

7/8

The belly button shaper confusion

In Season 1, entrepreneurs Baldev and Jayashree Jumnani presented a strange device called "Navel Fukai." They said this product could shape a person's belly button to be perfectly round and deep. The unusual idea left the Sharks confused and trying to hold back their laughter. The pitch did not secure any investment. But the sheer absurdity of the product made it one of the most talked-about and unforgettable moments of the entire season.

Aman Gupta shuts down the 'Sayonara' petticoat

The 'Sayonara' pitch in Season 2 was unique, to say the least. The founder pitched a water-resistant petticoat designed to help women use the restroom without getting their sarees wet. But Aman Gupta shut that down fast. He didn't just reject the investment; he told the guy, “Kuch aur socho. This is not a business. Aaj ke baad ise baare mein mat sochna (Think of something else. This is not a business. After today, never think about it again).” He basically banned the poor guy from ever thinking about this idea again. It was brutal but honestly, classic Aman.
