Sehban Azim: I remember dressing up like Santa and distributing candies in school
Actor Sehban Azim, known for his work in shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Bepannaah, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Thapki Pyar Ki, Spy Bahu and Tujhse Hai Raabta, says Christmas for him is less about a single celebration and more about shared moments.
“There are three gatherings that I go to every year for Christmas,” he shares. “One is at Jennifer Winget’s house. That has been a ritual for a long time, but this year she’s not in the country, so we’ll have to skip it.” Another regular celebration is at Suyyash Rai and Kishwer Merchant’s home. “A group of friends just chill, talk about life, family, and friends. The best part of both houses is being a Secret Santa. The third is to a cafe where another group of friends meet, listen to music, and eat good food.”
For Azim, the essence of Christmas lies in reflection. “Like most festivals we have in India, this one reminds us to appreciate our blessings, be generous, and be charitable. These festivals become a great way to help people around you and those in need.”
Recalling childhood memories, he says, “I remember dressing up like Santa and distributing candies in school, and receiving the same from other Santas.” He also remembers thoughtful surprises. “Close friends somehow knew what was on my list, but I could never buy it, and they gifted it to me as a Secret Santa. That felt like a blessing in disguise.”
Today, the actor says, “I still try to be a Secret Santa and make others happy — not just during Christmas, but throughout the year.”Bigg Boss 19 Winner
