Sana Khan reveals why she had her secret wedding with husband Mufti Anas Sayed; says, “Didn’t want anyone to change my mind”

Sana Khan, who’s best known for her time in Bigg Boss season 6, shocked fans and made headlines with her decision to quit showbiz in 2020. The actress revealed that she made this decision to “serve humanity and follow the path of her Creator.” She often shares pictures with her son on social media, giving fans a glimpse of her personal life. She recently appeared on a podcast with Rashami Desai, where she opened up about her personal life.


In the conversation, she opened up about her secret wedding, why she didn’t tell anyone about it, and much more. She got married to Mufti Anas Sayed on November 21, 2020. Sana shared that she wanted “peace in her life” and when she met her now-husband Anas, she decided to leave showbiz and marry him.




Sana said, “Getting married to him is one of the best decisions of my life. When we decided to get married, I didn’t tell many people. Only my immediate family members and some others knew about it. In my heart, I wanted to get married to him as peace is very important to me, but I didn’t share it with many people because I didn’t want anyone to change my mind.”


While talking about her marriage, she said, “When our marriage was finalized, it was top secret; nobody knew except for my mom and dad. Nobody even knew the groom’s name. When I was applying mehndi, the mehndi artist asked me what the groom’s name was. I told her to leave it blank; we’ll write it next time.” Sana also addressed rumours of him ‘brainwashing her into quitting showbiz’ and called the claims false.


While talking about how friends from the industry distanced themselves from her, she said, “Logo ne mujhse doori bana li jab unhe pata chala. Tab mujhe ehsaas hua ki yeh toh jhoothe rishte the, kyunki agar sachche hote toh chahe main aisi ho ya waisi, mera saath dete. Shayad woh kuch sochte hon ya na sochte hon, par mujhe lagta tha ki yeh log mere touch mein kyun nahi hain.”

(People distanced themselves from me when they found out. Then I realized that these were fake relationships, because if they were real, they would have supported me whether I was like this or like that. Maybe they think something or maybe they don’t, but I used to wonder why these people are not in touch with me anymore.)
