Sambhavna Seth reveals why she didn't opt for surrogacy after her failed attempts at IVF; responds to a fan who suggests adoption

Sambhavna Seth has been quite open about her struggles in conceiving a baby. After talking about her failed attempts at IVF, the actress recently revealed how a lot of people suggested she go for surrogacy. But then there's a lot they don't know about. She also responded to a fan who suggested she adopt a child.

Sambhavna shared in her chat on YT, "We did try for surrogacy but failed. We never talked about it as we did not find it relevant. Now trying surrogacy is not possible because it is banned and illegal. I was surprised when people wrote this to me to try and they did not know this." She added, "Surrogacy became like a business in India. No one knew where the money was going. It became a reason for it to be banned. We tried for it but doctors gave us no reason for why it failed."

Sambhavna did not shy away from calling it an expensive venture. She said, "It's possible outside India but it is an expensive venture. I have got IVF done here but outside, say Dubai or other countries, how they will carry embryos is something we don't know or whether doctors will provide any facility for it." (Photo: Instagram)

Sambhavna revealed, "Outside when you go for surrogacy, there are so many things involved. When you think about it, it's a long procedure. Physically you have to be there, you need to know who the surrogate is and her health. You need to keep a check on that. For that, you need to be present there. It's not possible for me to do this alone. It's an important decision and an exhausting procedure as it involves a lot of people's lives." Sambhavna was suggested in the comments section to go for adoption. A woman told her, "I wanted to suggest you about adoption, I am also an adoptive parent, you have an amazing loving heart and the child will be lucky to have you. Please consider this and let me know if there is any query." To her comment, Sambhavna replied, "Plz let me know what is the procedure of adoption." (Photo: Instagram)

Last year in May, Sambhavna decided to talk about what led to her weight gain after being heavily trolled on the internet. She listed some of the accusations she keeps facing on a daily basis including not caring about having a baby, being fat and older than her husband. She revealed it was due to her multiple failed attempts at IVF. She added that the procedure has been 'painful' and 'torturous' for her.

Her failed IVF led to some serious health complications including her suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. She posted a video last year crying about her health issues that were not just physical but also mental. She shared how medications led her to gain weight and gave reason to people on the internet to troll her.
