Rupali Ganguly to Sugandha Mishra; TV celebs mourn the sad demise of legendary musician Bappi Lahiri

Legendary singer and music composer Bappi Lahiri, also known as 'Disco King' breathed his last on Tuesday (February 15). He was 69. The news has left many in a state of shock and TV actors are mourning this irreplaceable loss:

Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly, who knew and shared a close bond with Bappi Lahiri since childhood, is completely heartbroken. She tweeted, "Baapi Kaka ….�� #bappilahiri."

Describing his heart as gold, Ronit Roy shared his condolences too. He wrote: "DADAAA!!!! Tumi chole gale �� You not just wore gold. You heart was also pure gold. RIP Dada! Condolences and strength to family ���� Rahe na rahe chahe tum, charche jahan main tumhare rahenge."

Comedian and actress Sugandha Mishra also expressed her disbelief over this news and wrote: "������R.I.P our loving n legendary Bappi Da @bappilahiri_official_ #legendsneverdie ..... Apart from being a veteran Singer/ Musician.. he was a gem of a person.. great human being, kind soul, fun loving..always encouraging and motivating.. i still remember how i got a chance to meet him on my first TV show..11 years back (when i started my career) since then .. he was so kind.. always made me part of sp occasions n celebrations.. #ganpatifestival .. u are n will always be in our hearts dada.. love and strength to the family..����"

Rupali Ganguly's co-actor from Anupamaa, Sudhanshu Pandey also penned the lyrics of Bappi Lahiri's composition to remember him. He wrote: "CHALTE CHALTE MERE YE GEET YAAD RAKHNA, KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA .. �� THE ONE AND ONLY GOLDEN MAN OF MUSIC .. HIS MUSIC HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC .. THANK U BAPPI DA FOR HAVING GIVEN US SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONGS OF OUR LIFETIME …MAY MAHAKAAL GIVE UR SOUL ETERNAL PEACE. OM SHANTI ������"

Hiten Tejwani shared a happy photo from one of his meetings with Bappi Lahiri and wrote: "May your soul rest in peace #bappilahri da..������������.."

Comedian-actor Ali Asgar is also shaken to hear about the sad demise of the veteran singer and music composer. His caption was a song composed by the late musician: "Chalte chalte mere yeh Geet yaad rakhna ….alvidha Bappida RIP ��������"

Comedian Sanket Bhosale also made a tweet remembering the late Bappi Lahiri. He shared a smiling picture of the singer and wrote: "R.i.p. �� #BappiDaa #RipBappilahiri ��"

"Bappi Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight," Dr Deepak Namjoshi, director of the Criti Care hospital, told PTI.
