Rohit Chandel: I was very emotionally attached to my character Dhaval Makwana in Pandya Store

TV show Pandya Store went off air last week after a 4- year run. The show had recently taken a leap and introduced new characters. Rohit Chandel, who played the lead role of Dhaval Makwana in the show, is disappointed that the channel decided to take this call during the ongoing IPL season. Rohit said, "Since it is the channel's call, there is nothing anyone can say or do. But it was disappointing that the show went off air after we took a leap . We were all confident that after the leap and the introduction of new faces, the show will do better in terms of ratings. We just needed some more time. But, it is okay I respect the channel's decision. I also understand it is business at the end of the day and the show has to do well. I had a great time shooting for the show."

Rohit is quite emotional about bidding adieu to his character Dhaval Makwana. He said, "Dhaval has been very close to my heart. I was emotional because the character had a great graph. From playing a casanova college guy to getting married and then becoming a responsible guy who looks after the family, I enjoyed playing Dhaval."

Rohit shares how he wants to act in a show that's creatively satisfying for him. He said, "I have received offers after people got to know that Pandya Store has wrapped up. But, I will wait because I want to be part of a show, which is creatively satisfying and helps me grow as an actor."
