Asha Negi-Rithvik Dhanjani to Shantanu Maheshwari-Nityaami Shirke, couples who split after participating in Nach Baliye

Rithvik and Asha were in a relationship for six years and it's only last year that their love life went through a rough patch. The two, who apparently fell in love while working on a web series have called it quits. Shantanu and Nityaami came into the limelight last year when they participated in 'Nach Baliye 9'. Even then there were rumours that the two had faked their relationship to participate in the dance reality show. However, recently while talking to TOI, Nityaami clarified that she and Shantanu never faked anything. Opening up on their relationship and eventual break-up, she said, "Shantanu and I started dating around April 2019, while we were shooting for the promos of a web series. During 'Nach Baliye', we were getting to know each other. Being on the show helped us bond because we dealt with a lot during those five months. Nothing ever went wrong with our relationship. It’s just that we realised that we are better off as friends. We called it quits in February this year. However, he is still very much a part of my life and a good friend. Faisal and Muskaan's breakup was much talked about as they parted ways on an ugly note. They were then offered Nach Baliye and the couple accepted it. It was there on Nach Baliye that Upen went down on his knees to propose to Karishma and their love story looked perfect. But soon the news of their break-up came out. The couple called it quits in 2016.

The popular television pair Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat, who got along really well during the shoot of 'Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak' and then later tied the knot in May 2011, ended their relationship last year. The couple was part of Nach Baliye season 6 and are now headed for divorce, thereby ending their marriage of around eight years.

Kumkum Bhagya fame Mrunal Thakur dated writer Sharad Chandra Tripathi for sometime and then the two together participated in Nach Baliye 7. Their love story caught a lot of attention then as through Nach Baliye, the ex-couple wanted to convince their parents to accept their relationship. But their love affair came to an end right as soon as the show wrapped up.

The former couple were seen in Nach Baliye 3. Shweta and Alexx's wedding ended in 2011 after they filed for a divorce. They dated each other in 2006 and got married in October 2008. The couple tied the knot in four different ways - a court marriage, Buddhist, Hindu ceremony and a Christian wedding. Sweta is now married to Ken Andino and they have a son together.

They were one of the most good-looking pairs of television. Kavita Kaushik, who is now happily married to Ronnit Biswas, was once in a relationship with Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum actor Karan V Grover. The duo together participated in the third season of Nach Baliye and their love affair became the talk of the town post it. But Karan and Kavita's relationship didn't last long and they called it quits soon after the show ended.

Rahul Mahajan selected Dimpy Ganguly on the reality show 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' and they eventually got married on the reality show. The couple were head-over-heels in love with each other when they were a part of Nach Baliye 5. They stayed together for a couple of years, but their not-so-happy married life ended when Dimpy filed for a divorce. They have also been a part of Bigg Boss. Dimpy is now happily married to Dubai-based businessman Rohit Roy and has two kids, a daughter and a son.

Shaleen and Dalljiet's ugly divorce is known to all, but there was a time when they backed each other and were each other's biggest support when they contested in Nach Baliye 4 and also won the trophy. Their split was in the news all over Dalljiet had accused Shaleen of domestic violence. They ended their marriage in 2015. They are divorced now, and are on cordial terms with each other and have a son Jaydon.

Gaurav Chopraa, who was last seen on Bigg Boss 10, has also been a part of Nach Baliye, where he participated along with his then baliye Narayani Shastri. The couple was a part of Nach Baliye 2, and the two called it quits while the show was on. They are thick friends even post the breakup.

Delnaaz Irani and husband Rajeev Paul were a part of the second season of the show. They disappointed many fans by announcing their separation post Nach Baliye. However, Rajeev tried reconciling with his wife on Bigg Boss post that, but Delnaaz seemed to have made up her mind till then. They were together for 14 years before calling it quits.

Shweta Tiwari was a victim of domestic abuse, but when she danced on Nach Baliye 2 along with husband Raja Chaudhary, they had become the hot favourite jodi of many. Saroj Khan was the judge of the show during that season, and she was accused by other contestants for favouring this couple. Shweta's second marriage to Abhinav Kohli also hit the rough patch last year.

Rakhi Sawant's relationship with her partner Abhishek Awasthi didn't end on a good note as they got upset with the competing couple winning over them. Rakhi had staged a walkout after losing the trophy.

Popular Punjabi film actress Neeru Bajwa and TV actor Amit Sadh dated each other for eight long years and were the celebrity contestants on the first season of Nach Baliye. Amit later went on to participate in Bigg Boss and was inside the show when Neeru decided to break up with him.
