Rahul Mahajan on his age gap of 18 years with wife Natalya; the latter reacts to his previous marriages and more

Rahul Mahajan and his wife Natalya were the first confirmed contestants of the recently released reality show Smart Jodi. The show, which premiered over the weekend, saw the couple make their presence felt for the first time on-screen. As Natalya made her TV debut, she answered several questions regarding her marriage with Rahul, how they met, family planning and more. The couple answered them all and here’s what they shared.

Host Maniesh Paul asks, “If something happens for the first time, it is called an accident. If it happens again, people call it a coincidence. By the third time, it becomes a habit. So Rahul, has getting married become a habit?” Rahul responds saying, “When you see such a beautiful bride, who wouldn’t want to get married?"

Rahul shares that they met at a restaurant. Natalya adds, “So what happened, basically, I was trying to set him up with a friend. He had this idea of getting married again. He was looking for a bride. Once upon a time, I even tried to set him up with my mom.”

Rahul further shared, “Her mother is quite young. She is elder to me by four years. So Natalya thought of setting me up with her mom, because the age gap was less. Natalya and I have an age gap of 18 years.” Natalya replies, “My mom is hot.” Rahul says, “I made an idea that she will also look hot when she is of her mother’s age.”

Natalya replied, “His two previous marriages were very short. It didn’t bother me much because it was more like a short term relationship than a marriage for him. Just in a few months of marriage, you can’t call it a marriage. And even in a few years of marriage, it’s not a marriage. Marriage is something deeper.” For the unversed, Rahul was previously married to Shweta Singh and Dimpy Ganguli.

During a game of seeing the future, Rahul is asked if he will get married for the fourth time, he answers, “Yes, I will marry for the fourth time…with Natalya once again. The channel will get us married.”

Rahul says, “I have such a beautiful wife, we should have 10-12 kids.” Natalya replies, “Definitely, we can adopt.”

Natalya, who is from Kazakhstan, shared she knows around 200 words. When host Maniesh asks her to say a few words, Natalya replies, “Aloo, karela, patta gobi, gobi, bhindi, pyaas, kharbuza, tarbooz, pati.” She laughs and adds, “Forgive my Hindi.”
