Priyanka on missed film offers: I don’t regret my decisions
When Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was inside the Bigg Boss 16 house two years ago, there was strong buzz about her being offered Bollywood films. However, those projects never materialised. Speaking to us about it recently, the actress said, “Yes, there were talks about Bollywood films and I did receive offers — Punjabi films, a Hindi film, even a Hindi franchise film. I never want to say no to work. But if a story feels complete even without my character, then it becomes difficult for me to accept it. I am an actor, and I want to perform.”
She added, “I won’t go into the reasons why the films didn’t happen, but I don’t regret anything because it was my decision. I took it after thinking it through.”
Currently, her focus is firmly on television. “I’m doing Naagin 7, and honestly, it’s bigger than anything else for me at this moment. You never know what the universe is going to throw at you. I’m just preparing myself and working on myself, so that whatever comes my way, I’m ready to grab it,” she said.
‘I don’t spend too much time on social media’Being constantly under public scrutiny has also taught her how to tune out the noise. “I don’t spend too much time on social media. I don’t go live; I keep my distance,” she said. “Everyone has their own point of view. In your eyes, you’re right; in my eyes, I’m right. That’s how it is. I respect trolls as well. At the end of the day, they’re talking about you — and that, in its own way, adds value.”
