Muskan Bamne on how the bold styling helped her slip into her character’s confident persona in Pushpa Impossible; says 'My posture changed..'
Pushpa Impossible follows Pushpa (Karuna Pandey) as she tackles life's curveballs with grit and a big heart. Right now, in the story, Pushpa's come up with this wild "ghar jail" idea for Shanaya (Muskan Bamne) to make her face the music for Prarthana’s (Pooja Katurde) death—and keep her from dodging the consequences. It's creating all this tension at home, testing bonds and bringing hidden truths to light.
In the middle of it all, Muskan Bamne, who plays the fiery Shanaya Mehta, opened up about how her character's bold new look totally transformed her on set. She remembers strutting onto the set one of the first days in full character mode—edgy accessories, standout hair—and boom, she felt different. Her walk changed, her vibe shifted. What began as just slipping into a costume turned into her secret weapon for the role.
Talking about this, Muskan shares, “I remember one of the first days when I got ready in my character’s look, with the bold accessories and statement red hair strand and the moment I looked at myself, something just clicked. My posture changed, my expressions felt sharper and I automatically started carrying myself with a lot more confidence. Since then, it has become my little ritual. Once I am in costume, I do not have to try too hard to get into character. It just happens. It is amazing how something as simple as styling can completely change your energy on set and make the performance feel more natural.”
Recently, in a conversation, the actress spoke about working with Karuna Pandey again, Muskan shared, “It’s such a special feeling to work with Karuna ma’am again on Pushpa Impossible. Years ago, she played my on-screen mother, and now we’re sharing the screen again in a completely different dynamic. What makes it even more interesting is that our characters are constantly at odds. Shanaya is rebellious and headstrong, while Pushpa strongly believes in discipline and values. Their personalities naturally clash. As actors, though, Karuna ma’am is incredibly warm and supportive, which makes performing these intense scenes even more enjoyable”
