Mohit Jaswani: Roles that scare me a little and push me out of my comfort zone are the most exciting
Actor Mohit Jaswani, currently seen as Arjun — the younger brother of Aryaman Suri (played by Namik Paul) — in Naagin 7, says his journey toward acting began much before the camera found him.
“Since childhood, performing has been my thing,” Mohit recalls. “I used to mimic my teachers, family members, friends — anyone and everyone. In school and in my colony, people would say, ‘Yeh toh hero hai.’ That thought stayed with me. Whenever teachers asked what I wanted to become, I confidently said I wanted to be an actor. Many laughed back then, but today those same people feel proud. That journey from being laughed at to being applauded is very special to me.”
While he comes across as calm and simple in real life, Mohit is eager to break that perception on screen. “By personality, I may seem innocent and quiet, but as an actor, I want to shock people with my performance. I’m drawn towards intense, layered, psychological roles — characters with darkness, flaws, phobias or twisted minds. Roles that scare me a little and push me out of my comfort zone are the most exciting for me.”
Apart from Naagin 7, Mohit has also been seen in shows like Bhagwan Jhulelal Sai and Kumkum Bhagya, and others.
