Masterchef India: Vikas Khanna calls this couple’s love ‘Rare’ as the show celebrates jodis; Chef Kunal asks Vikas Khanna 'when will you make a pair?'
Masterchef India recently returned to the small screen with a new season and had a grand premiere. The cooking reality show not just celebrates food but also continues to celebrate talent. The human stories shown in the show come from every corner of the country and connect with audiences instantly. One such heartwarming moment unfolds as a couple, Mayank Raja and Alpana Agarwala, step inside the Masterchef India stage.
The couple's journey shows how they have spent together an extraordinary 33 years of marriage and three years of courtship, and a shared love for the kitchen.
The duo’s chemistry is instantly palpable. Having known each other inside out over decades, they fondly admit that food has always been at the centre of their relationship.
In the promo, Chef Kunal Kapur looks clearly moved by their connection, he remarks, “In a house, the most important place is the kitchen. You have taken care of the kitchen, and you have taken care of your family. We can see how happy you both are with each other, even after 33 years.”
The moment soon turned lighter, with Chef Kunal teasing his fellow judges. Turning to Chef Ranveer Brar, he asked how long he had been married. Ranveer candidly replied, “ Twelve years, ” before humorously adding, “ Useless, dysfunctional, I don’t think there is a more useless husband than me in this world. I’m blessed that my wife tolerates me all day.” Kunal quipped back instantly, “I can see that, I know that.”
Not stopping there, he turned to Chef Vikas Khanna with a grin and asked, “ Vikas, the nation wants to know, when will you make a pair?” To this, Vikas responded with warmth and admiration, “ Where will you find such love? This is rare.”
