Kyunki fame Amit Tandon on patching up with wife Ruby; the divorce proceedings took a toll on our daughter's life

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor, Amit Tandon was recently in news for his divorce proceedings with wife Ruby. However, the actor and his wife have decided to give their marriage another chance and have stopped the divorce process. In an exclusive conversation with the TimesofIndia.com, the Dill Mill Gayye actor revealed that they have called-off the divorce and are back to being husband and wife. (Photo: Instagram)

"I think a lot of parents neglect or don't see what the child goes through. Couples these days think that if parents are not happy they won't be able to keep their child happy and so they go separate ways. They think the child will understand and adjust with time without realising that it has an impact on the child's mind. But, I also agree if a couple is not happy they have the full right to take a decision," shared Amit, who came to limelight with Indian Idol season 1. (Photo: Instagram)

The actor, who was last seen in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, shared that they learnt a lot from the difficult time (when Ruby was in a Dubai jail) and it also brought Ruby and him closer. (Photo: Instagram)

"I think we went through a lot of ups and downs in a very short span of time and it taught us many things. We realised that we are better together as a couple and we should give each other a chance. This is the best thing we can do for each other and our child," said Amit. (Photo: Instagram)

"I saw the difference when Ruby was away from Jiyana. I realised what affect it had on our daughter. Even the whole idea of divorce had a major effect on her. She had to live two separate lives, one with her father and one with her mother. All these situations made me to rethink about the divorce. And now with God's grace we are back together. I totally believe in destiny now and it would be better if we don't take things lightly now. It is a kind of learning for us, because we realised what Jiyana went through. Her schooling to her upbringing, our separation took a toll on everything," he said. (Photo: Instagram)

Amit, wife Ruby and their daughter Jiyana are in a happier space and says he has promised to do his best to make his relationship work, "I call life a day-to-day adventure. We are back together and we have cancelled the divorce proceedings and are living together as husband and wife. We are going back to doing things for each other with more understanding. The first thing we did was we sorted out the issues we had between us. Now, we are going to do our best to make it work. I think the problem arises when the desire to be in a relationship or to make things work fades away, but with us now we have become more understanding," concluded the actor. (Photo: Instagram)

Amit's wife Ruby was apparently arrested and kept in Dubai prison for misbehaving with DHA (Dubai Health Authorities) in 2017. She was recently released after 10 months. Amit and Ruby have a nine-year-old daughter.
