Krushna Abhishek's 'Maine Govinda ko maama rakha hai' remark to Govinda saying on TKSS, 'Vo sirf bhaanje ko kaam dega'; a timeline of what went wrong between this maama-bhanja

The Kapil Sharma Show's Krushna Abhishek and his 'mama' Govinda have had differences between the two, which is evident in the public and they haven't hesitated from speaking about it in the public. Last time when his mami Sunita Ahuja appeared on the show with daughter Narmada, she asked the makers to not have Krushna around them. This time, when Govinda came as the guest on The Kapil Sharma Show, Krushna refused to be a part of it. The family enmity seems to not end anytime soon. Take a look at the timeline of what went wrong between them:

Kashmera Shah had tweeted stating "When people dance for money" when Govinda and Sunita went on Krushna's show, Drama Company. Govinda's wife Sunita felt that she (Kashmera) was targetting them and took offence at it.

In an interview with BT earlier, Krushna Abhishek said, time and again he has clarified that the tweet was for his sister Arti Singh, and he has nothing against them. Krushna had then said, "Time and again, I have tried to clarify that the post was for my sister Arti (Singh). I wish mama takes stock of things and we resolve our differences once and for all."

"All was well until Kashmera had the audacity to slyly write rubbish about us on social media, soon after that appearance. She referred to us as 'People who dance for money' in that post. Even if we were paid for that appearance, it was none of her business. Almost every Bollywood celebrity charges for appearances on TV shows. Plus, she is not the one who paid us. I don't know if she has deleted that post now, but most of our relatives and family friends read it back then."

In an earlier interview with BT, Sunita had said, "Krushna’s claim to fame has always been the fact that he is Govinda’s bhanja (nephew). He has milked that enough. He has lived with us for years and we have always loved him. It’s a shame that they talk rubbish about us behind our back. We have distanced ourselves from them and it won’t change ever," said Sunita. Talking about them not being present at Krushna's twins' birthday bash, she had said, "Govinda and I were in London on that day (June 3), but that wasn’t the only reason why we didn’t attend the party. We were not invited for it and even if they had, we wouldn’t have gone. I have not seen his kids till date because of their parents’ misbehaviour. We have broken all ties with Krushna and Kashmera, and I swear I won’t initiate a patch-up this time around. I was a fool to do so two years ago. Govinda was right about them. It was my mistake that I thought that we should give them another chance."

"I have no idea what behavior she is talking about. Our kids were born last year [June] and they never came to see them in the hospital, not even when one of my kids was fighting for his life. They were not a part of that struggle, so why drag my kids into this unhealthy environment now?" said Kashmera.

In the past, Krushna Abhishek has always tried to sort out the differences between him and uncle Govinda's family. However, he's in no mood to sort the differences now and he told BT, "Sunita mami has influenced the family to an extent that now even their children (Tina and Yashvardhan) don’t talk to us.” Talking about their fallout two years ago, he says, “Chi Chi mama was upset when during an episode of my comedy show, I said, ‘Main koi chhota aadmi nahi hoon, maine Govinda ko mama rakha hua hai’. I can’t fathom why they take humour so seriously. I am proud of my mama and I have apologised to him and his family time and again, but to no avail."

When Sunita appeared with daughter Narmada Ahuja (Tina) on The Kapil Sharma Show, she asked the makers to not have Krushna on the set. He is an integral part of the show, who plays Sapna parlour vali's role, which is one of the most loved ones. Talking about it, Krushna had said, "I was told by the team that Sunita ji didn’t want me to be a part of the segment featuring them. So, I appeared in a gig before their entry. It was sad and shocking, as my character (Sapna) is an integral part of the show. However, I chose not to create a ruckus because it was Narmada’s big day, and they had come to promote her album. If I could do this for my sister being the older brother, I expected the same from my elders. It’s so sad that while Chi Chi mama (Govinda) doesn’t want us to fight or talk about our issues in public, something like this has happened."

"Chi Chi mama and I patched up six months ago. I have been to his house a couple of times to meet him, and we are in touch. In fact, I met him in Dubai 20 days ago and he had asked me to mend ties with mami, but she still seems upset. I am what I am because of years of hard work. Yes, mama helped us when we were young, but we never sought help from him for work. Had that been the case, I would have featured in several films by now. Chi Chi mama has been a superstar and could have pulled a few strings if we had asked for his help," said Krushna.

Krushna Abhishek hasn't forgotten the family dispute and refused to perform in front of uncle Govinda as last time, Sunita asked the makers to not let him be around, which is unforgotten by Krushna. "I learnt about Chi Chi mama coming on the show around 10 days ago. Since Sunita mami wasn’t accompanying him, the team thought that I would have no qualms performing. However, the incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. Last year, she didn’t want me to perform in front of them, but this time, I had reservations."

"They didn’t even come to see my twins in the hospital, not even when one of them was fighting for his life. I did call him, but there was no response. How long can I keep trying to resolve our issues, which is based on a silly misunderstanding! Of course, it hurts, but if he doesn’t want to see me, I, too, don’t want to meet him. Ab toh sirf Kapil hi issues resolve kar sakta hai hamaare beech ke. Jab mama agli baar aaye toh mujhe bula le stage par aur sab ke saamne sulah karne bole. However, we don’t repeat celebrities so easily. So, I guess this might happen only in 2021."
