Kaun Banega Crorepati 17: Amitabh Bachchan puts grandson Agastya Nanda on the spot over who he likes more — nana or nani

Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 completed 25 years of successful run in 2025. The popular quiz show has witnessed many popular celebrities gracing the show as part of the silver jubilee celebrations. Diljit Dosanjh, Rishab Shetty, Javed Akhtar-Farhan Akhtar, Ananya Panday-Kartik Aaryan, Manoj Bajpayee, Sharib Hashmi and several others have made an appearance on the show. The upcoming episode will see Agastya Nanda making a special appearance on grandfather Amitabh Bachchan's show to promote his film, Ikkis. The episode is expected to turn into a family gathering, as Agastya’s mother, Shweta Bachchan and his sister Navya Naveli, will also be a part of it.

The makers of the show, dropped a promo from the upcoming episode on the social media account where host Amitabh Bachchan is seen playfully grilling Agastya. In the promo, Agastya who is seen on the hot seat, is asked a tough question by a member from the audience. The lady from the audience asks him about who his favourite grandparent is – his nana Amitabh Bachchan or his nani Jaya Bachchan. While initially, Agastya tries to skip the question, but Big B playfully puts him on the spot.




“Mera sawal Agastya se hai… aapka favourite kaun hai, nana ya nani?” she asks. A visibly amused Agastya laughs and replies, “Yeh bahut mushkil hai… nahi, nahi, next question please.”

At that point, his grandfather Amitabh Bachchan steps in and says, “Nahi, nahi, bolne dijiye… hum jaanna chahte hain.” As Agastya struggles to answer, Shweta Bachchan is seen laughing from the audience, while Jaideep Ahlawat playfully teases the young actor. "Agar vanity mein pitna hai toh nani ka naam le lo, aur agar ghar jaakar pitna hai toh nanu ka naam le lo," jokes Jaideep.

This year marks a historic moment for Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show completes 25 years since its first episode aired on July 3, 2000.
