The glorious 1000th episode of Amitabh Bachchan hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 was graced by the beautiful ladies of his family namely his wife daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda, granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda and wife Jaya Bachchan, who joined them through a video call. It turned out to be special because of some cute banter, interesting anecdotes and amusing revelations that turned out to be the treasured moments that the Bachchan family lived during the 1000th episode. The Shaandaar Shukravaar episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 began on a celebratory note with host Amitabh Bachchan’s address to the audience for loving the show for 21 years. The host shared a few beautiful lines that depicted how everything has changed over these years but the viewers love for the quiz show has remained the same. He shared a note of gratitude for the audience and every person who has played a part in the success of the show.

Before inviting Shweta and Navya to the hot seats, Mr Bachchan shared how excited each and every member of his family is to watch the show. He added that they even get nervous just like the contestants and so he decided to give them an opportunity to take the hot seats. After joining him on the stage, Shweta shared that she has been waiting for 21 years to be a part of the show, which has finally happened. “We’ve waited for 999 episodes to get done, to be a part of this,” she shared. Meanwhile, Navya questioned Big B about how did he prepare for their appearance on the show. Responding to this, he said, “Bahut badhiya taiyari ki hai.”

Jaya Bachchan also joined them on the show through a video call from Delhi, adding up to the spark of ‘Shandaar Shukravaar’.

What became the highlight of the show was Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan’s cute banter. They didn’t leave any chance to pull each other’s leg. Big B joked about her being angry with him soon after he entered, Jaya Ji had some interesting things to reveal about him on the show. She complained that he doesn’t listen to her and unnecessarily makes false statements about her. Amidst their conversation, Navya threw light on how her naani doesn’t like Mr Bachchan’s style statements. Following this, the veteran actress shared that she doesn’t like his fashion sense, especially the colours he wears. Giving examples she named maroon, brown and violets to be the colours that don’t look good on him. “Aap pe accha nahi lagta,” she said, to which he responded saying, “Jao hum aapse baat nahi karte.”

During a conversation, it was revealed that Navya is Big B’s text support at home. The actor revealed that he goes to her whenever he needs any help with texting, social media posting etc. Soon after this, they discussed how active he is on social media and Navya also tested his modern-day slang vocabulary. She was seen asking him questions about slang words OOTD and GOAT. While he managed to answer just one of these, he came back with an apt reply by asking her some questions dating back to his days. Unable to answer those, Navya jokingly said, “‘Hum is game ko quit karna chahenge.”

Amidst the fun chat between the family, Navya and Shweta questioned Big B about everything that he talks about the family, especially Jaya Bachchan on the show. Following this, two instances from the Genelia-Ritesh special episode played on the screen wherein he was seen mocking her. This left the host speechless and he sat tight-lipped looking at his wifey. Next, he tried to escape the situation by praising Jaya Ji’s beauty, complimenting her and thanking her for being a part of the show. Understanding his mischief, she responded saying, “Aap jhooth bolte hue bilkul acche nahi lagte hain.”

The three important ladies of his life also got an opportunity to take Amitabh Bachchan’s class on Kaun Banega Crorepati. They pulled his leg on his bad communication skills, especially on the phone. While Jaya ji revealed that he doesn’t pick up calls, Shweta shared that one has to first reach out to him by text and then call him. Meanwhile, Navya shared a funny incident about their group chat and shared how delayed his replies are. In defence, he blamed his shoot schedules and internet speed but only got questioned by his daughter. Shweta mentioned how he will always remain active on social media but won’t respond to their calls and messages.

Towards the end of the episode, Shweta and Navya revealed that he is bad at playing dumb charades. They shared how bad he acts when he has to make them guess a movie and suggested that the audience watches it by themselves. The mother-daughter duo asked Big B to act and let them guess the movie, to only showcase his acting skills during the game. Jaya Bachchan also mocked him and gave a few suggestions.

The completion of 1000 episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati made the host remember his journey. He shared that the low phase of his film career made him turn to TV and sign the show. The actor shared that though it was a tough decision, it was a well-thought one and changed his life forever. He further reminisced his time of being on the show and couldn’t hold back his tears after watching his 21 year-long journey. He got teary eyed and said, “Bhavuk kar diya, kya bolein nihshabd ho gaye hain.”

While Amitabh Bachchan talked about his journey on the show, Mrs Jaya Bachchan had a special request. She explained how loved the show is and shouldn’t stop being aired on TV for long. Jaya ji suggested, “Samay kam kar dijiye lekin isko rukavat matt laiye.”
