Jahnavi Soni shares her birthday plans; says 'Another year older and wiser'
Paro Sang Dev actor Jahnavi Soni turns a year older on January 7. Though she shared that she doesn't like celebrating her birthday, she prefers a quiet dinner with her friends and family.
She said, "For this birthday, I want to celebrate with my family, just like my childhood. I never celebrated my birthday. But sometimes my colleagues and friends celebrated it and I used to join them. I like to go for dinner with my friends and my family. I don’t like cake or cake cutting. But since everyone feels that cutting a cake means celebration, and if my friends bring a cake, then I cut it."
But she does have a birthday ritual, and makes sure to visit a temple and seek blessings. She said, "I start my day with blessings and positivity. After that, I don’t really plan anything."
"Honestly, I still don’t understand why we celebrate birthdays, but yes, on that day I do feel very special. During school days, there used to be a very nice ritual. But now that school is over, I sometimes don’t understand what to do on my birthday," she added.
In the last two years, Jahnavi has celebrated her birthdays on the sets of her show, and she completely enjoyed it. "The first one was on the Dahej Daasi set, and the second one was also on the same set, and I really enjoyed working on my birthday. I truly like working on my birthday."
"This time I had thought of celebrating it on the Paro Sang Dev set, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. So this time I will celebrate it with my family. After two years, I will be celebrating in Jaipur, and I am feeling very happy. It feels just like my childhood days again," she added.
She is the happiest, as she will be celebrating her big day with her grandmother. She said, "For me, the biggest gift is that she is healthy, happy, and proud of me and my work. I want to make her even more proud and do good work. I feel that I haven’t really achieved much yet, so my focus is to work harder and do bigger and better things."
Asked what she would like to gift herself, she said, "I want to gift myself a disciplined, flexible, and active body. I want to become very active so that I can perform action and dance really well. Right now, my full focus is on that. If I can gift myself this, it will be the best gift for me."
But the gift she is looking forward to is from her sister. "Every year, my younger sister Lovely has a small ritual; she always gifts me a pen. Every time it is a unique and expensive pen. She believes that I am a very good artist. I am a sketch artist, and I also love writing. Since childhood, I have also been good at studies, so she has always gifted me pens, and this has never changed. I really love this gesture," Jahnavi ended.
