“It’s fake news,” Karan Wahi dismisses rumours of his marriage to Jennifer Winget

Link-up rumours are nothing new in the television industry, but social media has amplified them in recent years, often through morphed images and misleading claims. The latest actors to be caught in such speculation are Karan Wahi and Jennifer Winget.

A few days ago, posts claiming that Jennifer Winget and Karan Wahi were set to tie the knot began circulating online and quickly went viral, with several accounts sharing the same unverified information. However, we have learnt that there is no truth to these claims.

When contacted, Karan Wahi dismissed the rumours outright, saying, “It’s fake news.” He chose not to engage further with the speculation.




Around the same time, Karan also took to Instagram, where his posts appeared to subtly address the ongoing buzz. In one story shared earlier in the day, he wrote, “Free ki PR ke Liye Bahut Bahut Shukriya”. He later followed it up with a still of Ranbir Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, captioned, “Some bonds are greater than love.”

While Karan did not directly reference the rumours, the posts made it clear that the chatter surrounding his personal life is unfounded. As things stand, the speculation remains just that, a rumour, with no basis in fact.

Karan, who has been part of films such as Daawat-e-Ishq, Hate Story 4 and Aap Jaisa Koi, and television shows including Remix, Dill Mill Gayye, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Channa Mereya, has always been particular about the projects he chooses. In 2022, while speaking about his return to television after a six-year gap, he had told us, “I wanted a breather from television, not because of the kind of work I was doing on the medium, but because of the time I had to spend on set. I was working round the clock, and eventually reached a point where I wasn’t happy about going to work. After much introspection, I realised that despite feeling miserable, I continued to follow the routine, probably for the money. I think the day money-making became a secondary aspect of my work, I gained more confidence in saying no to a lot of things. Today, when I take up a show on TV, it’s not just about the concept, but also the process and the trajectory of my character. I am glad that things worked out for this project, both creatively and logistically.”
