It took me back 24 years: Karan Nath on his film Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa’s re-release and his return to acting
As Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa returns to cinemas 24 years after its original release, actor Karan Nath finds himself overwhelmed with emotion. The 2002 romantic thriller, which marked an important chapter in his career, recently re-released, and Karan says, “I’m absolutely elated, very happy and emotional. Watching the movie again in theatres with the entire team felt very special. I hope today’s generation also connects with it and falls in love with the story.”
The re-release, he admits, has stirred a sense of nostalgia. “It took me back 24 years to when we first started shooting. Even today, the songs continue to trend, which is amazing. The director knew my father (Rakesh Nath) saw me at a party, and that eventually led to my audition and casting.”
On the personal front, Karan shares that life has changed significantly in recent years. “In the last three years, a lot has happened in my life. I got married, and my wife is from Russia. Now, I also have a daughter, she has turned one. I am really enjoying this phase of my life.”
