Is Sonal Vengurlekar participating in Bigg Boss 18?

The casting team for Bigg Boss is working diligently to finalise an interesting mix of participants for the upcoming 18th season of the reality show. Following our recent report about Dheeraj Dhoopar of Kundali Bhagya fame being approached for the show, we have now learnt that Sonal Vengurlekar, who was last seen as Pavitra in Doree, has also been approached for Bigg Boss 18.

A source associated with the show informs us, “We are looking at bringing some popular names from the television industry. Although we have been considering Sonal for the past few seasons, specifically for the OTT version of the show, we believe she would be a great fit for the GEC edition of Bigg Boss. Hence, we have reached out to her for the upcoming season. Negotiations with her are ongoing, and we hope to finalise the deal soon.”

Sonal didn’t respond to our calls and text messages.




The actress, best remembered for his portrayal of Devyani Shastri in Shastri Sisters, has been part of shows such as Kumkum Bhagya, Yeh Vaada Raha, Ek Tha raja Ek Thi Rani, Yeh Teri Galiyan, Gupta Brothers, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi, Parineetii and Kundali Bhagya.

The new season of the show is expected to hit the tube sometime in October. The last season was won by Munawar Faruqui, with Abhishek Sharma, currently seen in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, finishing as the runner-up. The 16th edition of the reality show was won by rapper MC Stan, while the season before that was won by Tejasswi Prakash. The 13th season, arguably the most popular one, was won by Sidharth Shukla, with Asim Riaz securing the runner-up position. Asim also participated in the ongoing season of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi but was asked to leave the show within a week following an altercation with Abhishek Sharma and an argument with host Rohit Shetty.
