I feel not every role I will get can be like Sanchi from Balika Vadhu and I have accepted that fact: Roop Durgapal

TV actress Roop Durgapal, who is best known for her role as Sanchi in Balika Vadhu, has been a part of many daily soaps over the years. The actress will now make a guest appearance Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. "I am excited to do the opening for the show. And my character is positive, so I am here to do something good in their lives and viewers will like it."
Roop was last seen in Tujhse Hai Raabta (2019) and talking about the last two years, she says, "It's not that I am not getting offers for more TV shows, but I am not satisfied with the kind of roles that are being offered.I am looking for something that's interesting and different. I have taken up a few episodic characters which I really enjoyed being part of, but I really haven't come across too many good characters to play in shows."

Roop became a household face after her part in Balika Vadhu a few years ago. That's remains her favourite role till date. She says, "People still call me by that character name. That was my first show and I was new at that time. The show has taught me a lot as an actor and it gave me a good platform for future projects. I was really grateful working with seasoned and experienced actors. I feel I will never get a role like Sanchi from Balika Vadhu and I have accepted that fact."
Meanwhile Balika Vadhu 2 is in the making and Roop wishes that she was a part of it. "I hope that new season does very well. Somewhere in my heart, I wish there was a small part for me in the show too. But I understand that they have a totally new story and new characters, so there's no place for old characters. I wish them all the luck," she says.
