I am now finally ready to find a companion: Akangsha Rawat after her divorce from Piyush Sahdev last year

Akangsha Rawat, who got legally separated from actor-husband Piyush Sahdev last year, shares how she is happy and ready to fall in love again. Akangsha, who is currently seen in TV show Shiv Shakti, said, "We got divorced last year and I am currently in the best phase of my life right now. I am working, bought my own house in Mumbai and have the freedom to pursue my dreams. Piyush and I are not friends like many continue to be cordial after their divorce, but I wish him well, because we have both suffered a lot."

Akangsha added, "I am now finally ready to find a companion and fall in love. I don’t know if I want to get married but I do wish to find a stable long term partner. I think that’s the only way we truly evolve and grow. After having lost so many close friends, my mother, my marriage, my money, I have still survived and taken charge of my life!"

After going through a rough time during her marriage with Piyush, Akangsha shared how marriage should not be something that completes a woman. She said, "Being married is not everything for a woman." It is important to have a good partner, a good career, financial independence and a balanced life. One needs to pursue hobbies and have good friends. If marriage works it’s great but if it fails, you can still be very happy, as long as you keep working on other aspects of life. My marriage ended but life did not end. I have been able to live a good, peaceful life."
