Hunar Gandhi: Excited to be in Delhi for Ganesh Chaturthi for the first time

Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, Delhi girl Hunar Gandhi went for Ganpati shopping with us and also tried her hand at adding the finishing touches to Bappa’s idol. Excited to relive the Mumbai experience in her own city, the Pyar Ki Thapki actress tells us, “This is the first time that I am in Delhi for Ganesh Chaturthi. I have always celebrated the festival in Mumbai but I am really excited to celebrate the festival in my city.For the first time, I came to a Delhi market to shop for an eco-friendly Ganpati in the same way I would do in Mumbai.”
The actress has been celebrating the festival since 2007, ever since she moved to Mumbai. “Tab yahan Delhi mein koi itna nahi celebrate karta tha. I witnessed the grandeur of the festival for the first time in Mumbai,” says Hunar.

Talking about her plans this year, Hunar said that she is going to celebrate the festival with her family. “Mayank’s family (her husband) will be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in Delhi, so I am going to be with them and my friends for the festival. I love modaks and that is something I am definitely looking forward to. I have a sweet tooth so I am only binging on sweets on all festivals,” says Hunar.
