However, when the show was at its peak, the actress decided to move on from it and leave it behind. The actress felt that her character’s story had come to an end, which is why she opted to leave the show. However, there was a dispute over creative differences between her and Rajan Shah as well.

Mehra, who had risen to fame with Hina Khan on ‘Yeh Rishta,’ followed her footsteps and left the show a few months after she announced her departure. Bhavya Gandhi had been a part of the ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma’ universe since he was a child, playing the titular role of the mischievous Tappu, Jethalal’s son. However, as he grew older, the actor wanted to venture out with other projects. In an episode of ‘Hindi Rush’, the actor revealed that there was no growth for his character in the show and that he had been reduced to being a side character. On top of that, he wished to venture out and work in films rather than getting typecast into one type of role.
