Himanshi Khurana, Neha Bhasin: Bigg Boss celebs who became victims of excess trolling by rival fan clubs on social media

It has become quite a trend that Bigg Boss contestants when locked inside the house have fans supporting and rooting for them on social media. However, over the years it has not remained the same. Often these fan clubs get into a war with each other and target rival celebrities even after they are out of the house. Dealing with online hate has become a huge problem, and celebs, who are attacked by such clubs, have not just spoken about it but also warned such fan clubs of cyber bullying. Not once but several times in the past, Himanshi has been trolled by fan clubs of boyfriend Asim Riaz. When they were in Bigg Boss 13, Asim's fans spread hate tweets against the Punjabi actress calling her a 'flop aunty'. Not just then but even now they have dragged her past relationship in the present, making her finally address the brainless trolls. In her latest note, she wrote, "To all the respected media and Social Media trolls, I have been maintaining a sanctity, post Bigg Boss 13, and have refrained from talking anything ill against anyone and have always maintained a dignified silence on all the matters pertaining to anyone I was associated to in the past. But however, the media has still not been able to come on terms and have been instigating the conversations which has opened the doors for a lot of hate and has instigated unnecessary conversations amongst the fans and brainless trolls (sic)" (Photo: Instagram)

Neha Bhasin, who was close to Pratik Sehajpal, has had a bitter taste of fan club hatred by his fans. They questioned her character for liking Pratik despite being married. It got to the point where Neha had to come out and warn everyone not to cross their limits. She wrote, "It's sad that fandom of someone I stood by till the end is the most disgusting, toxic bunch of people. The hate, the messages, the abuses, the threats, the sickness. You are a part of a hate culture that has killed people and led people to mental ill health and suicides. Take some responsibility and back off I am sure Pratik would be ashamed of you all #pratikfam shame on you. I am not afraid of you. But the world must know the culture you are promoting is a crime. Rashami Desai was brutally attacked by fans of Umar Riaz after she spoke about his personal life in public life. She said, "Umar might be having someone in his life as he is a very private person. We respect each other’s boundaries..." This made fans not just slam her but they went to the point of making sure Rashami trended with all hate tweets. One out of many users wrote, "Who the hell is she to comment on Umar's personal life! When Umar himself said he is single!! Like wtf ,is she trying to prove by doing this all?? P.S: Ab aa jayenge sare umar ko blame karne, cheater dhokebaaz bolke abuse krne as expected." Rashami reacted sharply to the tweets specially ones where even her family was dragged. The actress, who was seen in Bigg Boss 13, became a victim of fan club attack after she said in a Live on Instagram that there was no chemistry between Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla in their song 'Bhula Dunga'. This didn't go down well with fans of #SidNaaz who abused her online with one even sending an obscene video targeting her and her mother. This prompted Devoleena to lodge a complaint. She told BT, "I usually ignore trolls, but this person has crossed all limits. Cyber bullies are taking advantage of their right to freedom of speech. So, I lodged a complaint on Tuesday and also sent a mail to the authorities concerned, requesting them to take action the following day. We are close to finding out who the offender is; it is not easy to track the person, if it is someone living abroad. It's not just the ladies but also Asim Riaz who was slammed by Shehnaaz Gill's fans. After a month of Sidharth Shukla's demise, the Punjabi actress went to her manager's wedding and danced her heart out with friends. While her fans to see some normalcy returning in her life, Asim's cryptic tweet att he same made many speculate that it was targetted at Shehnaaz. Taking to his Twitter handle, Asim wrote, “Just saw few dancing clips … seriously people get over loved ones so soon Kya baat kya baat..…. #Newworld." This angered many of Shehnaaz's fans who trended 'Shame on Asim Riaz' on Twitter. In Bigg Boss 11, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Hina Khan was seen at loggerheads with Bhabhi Ji actress Shilpa Shinde. Throughout the season, their fans on social media got into nasty wars with each other. Post the show, a fan of Shilpa posted a video mocking Hina. But by then, Shilpa decided to put an end to these wars. She herself came out and asked her fans to stop the negativity. She wrote, "Life is really very short. Negativity Se Jyada fun dekho. I really like Hina. And now Bigg Boss is over so there is no point to fight. Hina is doing great so it's my request to all fandom, rather than hating each other love your idol. Lots of love to all." Gauahar Khan has often been targeted by various fan clubs as she often tweets about contestants playing an unfair game in Bigg Boss. Last season, when she did so about Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra, their fandoms took to spread hatred on the internet. When Gauahar's song came out, these fan clubs asked everyone to go dislike the song so she learns her lesson. However, Gauahar was unaffected and tweeted in response, "Hahahahha kyunki aur kuch kaam toh hai nahi aap ke paas , karo visit , views badh jaayenge ! Hahahahah ! Negativity kabhi nahi jeet ti !
